Funny, fully on day two this seems to be opening up more and showing itself.

From glass. Lean, serious, bitter, slightly oily. Acids springing to life with oysters. Not at all an orange wine, and hard to pin down within any SB tradition, but I really liked this.

Mint on the nose. This is past its best now and has lost some of its acidity. Slightly watery on the palate. Still a good wine.

Surprising wine - not at all SB like (maybe due to age). Rather mineral, with notes of flint. Slight oxidation. Dried apricot. Long finish. Tasted again one day later. Sweet characters appearing on the nose.

Bizaare wine with "curiously" strong mint notes dominating an oxidized tasting core of grain and straw.

This was shut down on night one but it blossomed on night two. It's concentrated and quite ripe, with nary a cat box in sight, yet it also shows terrific detail and finesse; its full-ish body is tinged with mint and green herbs and the acid-driven structure that I've found in other Slovenian sauvignons.

Incredibly interesting wine. Almost mentholated.

Spearmint wine. Really. Ales says this is correct. I shared a bottle of this at Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay, and, well, it's pleasant, but weird and sort of non-wine like.
