Terra Andina Syrah Reserva

This house is proving to be good 'budget' drinking in Phuket. Modest but not without character; red berries, charcoal, mineral hints, and enough acid to keep the palate lively. Nothing more but good enough.

Chile winery, acquired in 2001 relatively new and modern winery with range of wines, local character; line reserve is matured (50%) in French oak for 10 months (rest for less in staves) variety 85% Syrah and 15% Cab.Sauv. Tasting : deep ruby red, nose subtle aroma of blackberries, caramel touch maybe bit of vanilla, wine misses intensity and burst expected from 'reserva'; medium to full bodied alc. 14 % price ard 9 euro
