Served blind and it stumped as to what it was. New Workd or Old? Chablis/Chardonnay or something else entirely? It’s a pleasant fresh zippy Chard but I’m surprised the ratings are as high as they are.

Full body, oily, spicy, citric. Really, really good for a Chilean Cabernet (which are in general mostly uninspiring acidic water). A bit on the pricey side!

For some reason the best tasting I have had from this bottle.

A really interesting, unique, enjoyable and finely crafted chardonnay to drink. The ethereal nose reveals lemon, lime and sea breeze. On the palate, the strong backbone of acidity carries through waves of salt, chalk, lemon and brioche. Incredible QPR and for the money, quite amazing. All that aside, some will have trouble not drinking the whole bottle in one go. This wine is a work of art from a terroir like no other. I am going to cellar a few …

Aromas de frutas de hueso, notas florales y toques de tiza. En boca es fresco, salino y lineal, con buena estructura, acidez brillante y un fondo persistentemente mineral.

Super Fun Wine. Straw golden color, quite hazy. Mark Janes note really captures this wine well. It has a sort of unctuous body that’s similar to what you get when you dissolve a bit of collagen or gelatin in a sauce. This wine asks the question: “What if you made Muscadet out of Chardonnay?” And the answer is you get a really wonderful wine.

yellow rim, cloudy. on the nose citrus, leesy, ocean breezy... no malo or new oak. on the palate dry with high acids, a salty, leesy, and grippy midpalate, finishes with low alcohol and some phenolics. balanced wine with good length, intensity, and complexity. has finesse, a very unique texture, would be hard to place this wine blind. this is some raw chardonnay... pure and tons of energy. i loved it but this style is not for everyone. most interesting chard …

Would've guessed Semillon blind. Unfiltered and appropriately cloudy, with notes of hay, Gala apple, and lemon coalescing throughout. The fruit is understated though, complemented by medium acidity. Simple.

I really liked the '20 which was zippy, refreshing and had the perfect balance of minerality, fruit and structure. The '21 is muted by comparison, a little underwhelming, and not as delineated. A bit cloudy upon pouring but dissipates. A bit of lemon and melon on the palette but nothing stands out. Have a few bottles, so will see how it does in a few months.

Tasted blind - called Vouvray Chenin Blanc. Appearance: Cloudy upon initial pour, clears within 10-15 minutes in the glass, medium lemon. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit, under-ripe pear, and ginger. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ intensity, medium body, 13.0% abv with flavors of sour lemon, grapefruit, and ginger with a medium finish. Unique, but not necessarily in a good way. Dominated by sour characteristics, some may prefer this unique Chardonnay flavor profile, but not me.
