Didn’t take detailed notes as we drank w/slow smoked pork with friends. Very well received though!

I did not like this one. Immediately all you smell is the alcohol; it singes the nose. Andrew said he felt it in his eyes. It mellows out after some time in the glass. After you get past that, the nose has merit in notes of tart cherry, red/black cherry, black plum, dried fruits, raisin, smoke, toasted wood, leather, and fruit leather. Very thin and lack the punch of a more pricy Amarone. Kinda meh. Guess it's ok for the price

Incredible nose like a rum-infused plum cake. Alcohol is forefront with prunes and raisins that follow. Flavors are not nearly as sweet as the nose, with a drying finish. Drinkable now but probably will last another 15+ years. Excellent value from wtso.com.
