This seems to be the most oak-influenced of the white Burgundies, which becomes more prominent with air. There is still nice freshness and acidity on the palate, good minerality and lean, white fruit and citrus, but then you get a hit of oaky spice on the finish. Served Blind A beautiful nose. Complex yet inviting and almost playfully fresh with seashells, jasmine, flint, and lemon curd. It's complex yet playful and inviting. On the palate, mid weighted, chalky and toothsome, with more orchard and citrus fruit, a little nuttiness. This has excellent depth and breadth, yet has lift and a weightlessness to it. This bottle has taken on a deeper colour with a hint of old gold. Honeyed on the nose with buttery fruit and acidity of great purity. Could be close to full stretch and I expect to open my last bottle this Christmas, but will definitely want more from this grower.

Pale gold. Medium to full-bodied, creamy, aromatic and earthy with fresh acidity and long savoury finish of great purity.

Bright straw gold with a slight green tint. Very intense nose of white flowers, citrus, fresh hazelnuts and a touch of butter. In the mouth, full bodied, with a nice acidic spine; great concentration of flavour. Despite the full body and slightly fat texture, there is a certain steeliness and austerity that reminds me of a white corton. Excellent length. Overall very good complexity and energy; great joy to drink, but no hurry.

Burgundy WIMPS October 2021 (La Trompette) : Nose of ripe apple, some tropical fruit. Palate is quire rich - perhaps the richest of the whites in this flight - but really silky moreish and refreshing.

First Cotes de Nuit blanc I think I've had and was kind of expecting some sort of exoticism but didn't find anything like that here. Down the middle, full-bodied, but fresh, white Burg. Very good.

Smokey and oily and powerful. And crazy good. That is really interesting Bill notes. And crisp and tart and hard edged.
