Château de Bagnoles Cabardès Majelus

Still a nice wine the blackberries are still there, a nice soft finish with just the right amount of tanins

I was surprised with this wine which had a lovely fruit filled taste and given its drinking window I thought that would have diminished. Very pleasant drink.

Fairly full bodies, good fruit, with taste of blackberries. A very nice smooth wine.

Has that Southern Rhone thing going on. A blast from the past for me, and I enjoyed it. Nice medium body with snappy acidity and a nice backbone of brambly fruit. 2010 truly was a wonderful vintage. Nice wine and value.

3.5 Maroon trending purple in color. What a nose! Tart raspberry pie, strawberry, licorice, and pepper open exuberantly. A mid-weight wine with blue fruit on the mid-palate and cranberry tartness on the finish. While the nose captivates, the taste falls short of harmony and lacks nuance. Above typical acidity makes this a solid food wine. Pork, beef, and roasted root vegetables beckon. Delightful.

I was pulling for this one but all I got was a decent weeknight patio without a whole lot (any?) complexity. Not thin or flabby or anything, just a mixture of dark fruit and heat. Totally pleasant but lacking that extra something. Maybe needs more time?

a little rough the first night, fantastic on the third. I'm a fan.
