First bottle of the evening this time so it had a chance to really shine. Should have purchased more. Will definitely visit this property on the next scouting trip Northwest.

Another great value cabernet, I MEAN MERLOT, from Washington State. Got careless the first time I wrote the note.

Perfect example of a HORRIBLE transition. NEVER try to drink something like this after an Opus Overture. I usually love this wine and this was clearly unfair. Never underestimate how important the transitions between wines are.

Dark ruby color. Dark cherry and blackberry jam on the nose. Medium full body with layers of chocolate, dark fruit and spice (maybe nutmeg?) Medium finish with soft, well integrated tannin. Delicious at this price point or any other for that matter. Excellent value.

Ridiculous value. Tastes much more expensive.

Ridiculous value at $18.50 by the case. This tastes like a $45 bottle. VERY smoothe and supple. Hard to quit after one bottle.

Plum jam, violets, earth, coconut, black cherry, smoke, vanilla, and some kind of perfume I can't identify on the nose. Plum, tart cherry, black cherry, spice, cedar, licorice, and earth on the palate. Good acidity, tannin structure, and finish. There's a hint of sweetness at the beginning that's quite pleasant. Big, oaky wine. IMO, a bit too much oak. Needs a steak or something along that line. Good QPR.

Very good wine, especially for the price. Dark color, good complexity for a merlot, noticable but enjoyable tannins, and a medium-length finish.
