Drinking great right now !! Stored this screw top bottle upright for a decade in the cellar. Consumed over two days. Fruit burst on the first day, very lively for a mature wine. On day two this balanced wine really shined; it had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Medium ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and strawberry. Flavors of black cherry cola and raspberry with a hint of forest floor. This Pinot Noir has …

Well extracted and ripe, with moderate spice. Not showing much in the way of Sonoma Coast terroir, it is very solid and a great price.

Tlhis wine keeps getting better and better. Lots of red and dark fruit, well balanced, and with depth.

Twist off and poured into a plastic Diet Pepsi bottle for a little "sumt'in sumt'in" while walking around NYC this afternoon. Formal notes to come....

Could have used a little less fruit, a little more earth and a little less alcohol. But not bad.

Let it breathe...got much better longer it sat opened. Vinturi and tasted...not ready. After an hour was great. Medium bodied California Pinot Noir with lots of red fruit and just a bit of earthiness on the nose. Nicely balanced. Very highly recommend for the price - great value!

Plum and prune with a hint of tobacco on the nose. A tart cherry, earthy, and slight tannic taste in the mouth with a lasting finish. Overall a good wine. UPDATE: After finishing this bottle, this wine's complexity and finish improved as it continued to breath. I have updated it's score to 90 and am more impressed. I would recommend giving this a try. Allow it to breath at least an hour or use a Vinturi before drinking.

Good wine, not as smooth as other pinots of the same price. Tart cherries on the finish. Tannic, and could use some time to develop. Not very complex, but it's not bad, just not as refined as it should be. Just my opinion.

I have never liked Momtazi. Someone knows how to get candied fruit extraction on the nose. Got some breath across the palate that I would associate with momtazi. Then grip, power, candy. A very good Momtazi.

I liked the wine, but not nearly as much as Pali's other Pinots from Sonoma, Russian River and Oregon. I guess there's a reason why Santa Barbara Pinots consistently score lower than Pinots from most other regions.

Fruit-forward and aromatic right off the bat even when served a little cold (59F initially). Tart cherries, but with a touch of sweetness. If this were a piano, the notes I'm getting are about two-thirds "up" the scale. Not deep and round. More mid-soprano. Conceals its 14.9% alcohol like a magician. I like it. Looking very forward to trying the Durell after this. Nice value.

Sweet fruit is the focus of this wine, with some level of structure, but mostly just a sunshine face of ripe (though not overripe) fruit. Easy to drink.

Lacks depth. finesse. As the winery uses "screw top" closures, I presume that the wine is ready to drink, as it will not age. Could have benefitted from a couple years of ageing if it had a cork closure.

I hope this bottle was off. There was just a hint of carbonation in this bottle. Strong notes of earth with some fruit in the background. The last sip was the best. Hope my other bottles are better.

Compared the Huntington to the Riviera last night and it was fun to taste the difference. Some refer to this Pinot as being "New World" in its characteristics and I have to agree with that. While the Sonoma Coast bottling features a lean frame when compared to the Santa Barbara bottling, they both offer serious value in California Pinot Noir. With a nose of ripe cherries and a bit of cinnamon, the flavors are mainly black cherries bolstered by some …

Can't agree more that this is an incredible value in a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Lovely nose of bright cherry, ripe plum, and raspberry is backed by similar flavors. Pali has done an admirable job with this, and their other appellation Cuvée wines. When factoring in the price this has got to be one of the best buys of any California Pinot Noir. http://fearnowine.com

Excellent New Word pinot. Cherry and spice on nose. Not over powering but delicious fruit, fine tannins and juicy acidity resulting in a very good wine with our grilled salmon. This wine is definetly ready to drink now.

Enjoyed this. Certainly not an enlightened drinking experience, but this was a decent straight-forward pinot. Good fruit, decent tannin and aciditty... it went well with our meal. Better than most CA pinots in this price range (< $20).

Chicago Pinot Days-2009 (Navy Pier, Chicago IL) : nose: nice higher toned nose of red cherries, raspberries, red berries and some bits of red fruits. Good depth that is real nice taste: excellent medium feel with good acidity and tasty tones of raspberries, red berries, and creamy tones of red fruits. Well balanced, but seems like its holding back overall: will need a bit of time to come together, but there looks to be a real nice wine underneath. There …
