A brilliant pale gold with a nose of almonds green & gold apple & a touch of grapefruit. This wine is still showing that hallmark laser like acidity. Bright green apple, chalk, and a touch of citrus pith in the mouth. The acidity cut through seared scallops in bacon fat on a bed of wilted garlic spinich.

Bought in 2018 From Vineyards Direct.com UK, £17.00 approx Blimey, this has come on quickly. Drink up, it's ready (and probably not going to get any better). Bargain/VFMoney Chablis 1er Cru AC drinking very well at just 2 yrs old with some personality but not hugely elegant. C.....towards golden, already! N....not huge, some freshness, some fruit T.....Wow, this 2017 has come on since my last bottle (odd, because that was less than 3 months ago. Variation?). Drinking very well right …

This bottle better than my previous one of this same vintage. C....pale straw N....medium intensity lemon zest, stewed apples T....attractive minerals, lemon pith, grapefruit, some power here, good fruit, finishes off-dry, solid med+ body. A quibble: possibly too much oak/outta' balance? Drink up while acid is lively. Not complex enough to reward long cellaring, I think. But why keep it? It's drinking well right now. VFM? feels like £25.00 would be a fair retail price, anything less is gd VFM.

I've marked this only 88/100 because I've opened it too early. I should not have opened another one of my 2017s, it's way way too young. However... 'Famille Michaut' detail at bottom of front label. C.....pale. N.....granny smiths, wood, grapey, a wee hint of peach, and that's it. No intensity at all. T....medium body, smack in the face DRY. Good power/potential for cellaring, some salty impression, minerality, wood, solid core structure, taut at this age, lemons. Great fish wine, probably, …

Bought online from FVD (From Vineyards Direct.com) in UK, approx £17.00 Opened way too early. Sound value-for-money Chablis that punches above it's weight with some complexity/class. Will buy again - but give it cellar time. C....mid-yellow. N.....medium intensity, nice yellow stone fruits, some citrus, some mineral/earthy impression. Encouraging, and didn't expect it with this price. T.....medium body; dry; good core and some power, nice limestone/chalky character, way off mature and still thrusting at this early stage; some oak; solid structure …

Open nose of bright citrus and pineapple. Palate nicely rounded, not too crisp with some apple, pear, lime. Reasonable finish with some vanilla/butter flavors added to the citrus. Nicely balanced pleasant wine without any harshness, but also not too much complexity.

Purchased from Costco. Both the wife and I found it to be enjoyable but it did not seem to me to be a good reflection of the Chablis style as I detected the butter I associate with Calif chards. Good quaff. Simple. Nice with food.
