A delicious bottle! None of the brett of the last couple. A little VA but not bad.

You all got me panicking a bit. So I opened a bottle and I can’t taste any fading whatsoever. A little bit more lightweight than 2018, but a very nice glass of wine once again…

Agree with VVV below. This was my last bottle of this vintage. Opened up with some usual brett and funk which blew off revealing some pretty floral and fruit aromas but was definitely lacking the energy and oomph you'd expect. This is one of my favorite wines year over year and my go-to Beaujolais these days but I'm happy to move on to the 20's and younger.

This last bottle is faded... coming to the conclusion that you need to drink these young, when they're energetic.

For anyone who has this still in their cellar or gets this offered, I opened a bottle tonight and can reassure if properly cellared, this has not lost any of its freshness and magic. Upon opening a bit effervescent which is not impacting the joy of this wine. Sour cherries, violets, straw honey, a great balance of acidity and sour sweet flavors in the mouth. If anything it seemed the nose is a bit more muted while the flavors and …

Effervescent and borderline funky, but still drinkable. The pro reviewers call it "nervy" and "lively" and that is one way to put it, but it worries me. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this - the fruit is tasty, and it has a nice finish. I have 4 more bottles and will probably drink them sooner rather than later.

From 75cl, acceptable dry-flaky cork under wax capsule. Decanted off heavy powdery sediment, best immediately after opening and at 13C, alas it faded away as it warmed up to 19C. Decent, dilute, fine-sandpaper-textured, slightly volatile, dark-red-fruited. No evident flaws—so the contents of this bottle appear to have been in better condition than some of those recorded in recent CT TNs, which were evidently starting to fizz. Assuming the raw material was of a comparable quality to that which goes into …

Huge disappointment that we'll chalk up to a flawed bottle. Still, there are similarities to other recent notes. While usually brilliant, this producer's BV-level is also a little inconsistent from bottle-to-bottle. Decent at opening with big primary, red, berry fruits. However, these were accompanied by an effervescence; if not actual bubbles certainly a punchiness. Unfortunately, a little time in the glass failed to calm. Things headed south quickly with a yeasty, horsey, finish overwhelming everything. Dumped the final 1/2 bottle.

This wine opened with a deep dark cherry colour and a lovely nose of dark cherries, raspberries, violets and hints of spice and game. The palate was beautifully round in the mouth but backed by a fine line of tannins and touches of spice, game and stoney earth. The dark fruit characters and florality of the palate were particularly attractive. This would sit comfortably alongside many a 1er cru Burgundy.

Just excellent, singing, kept in glas for 15 minutes, great balance between red fruit and touch of herbal/forestry notes, between rather light but with some punch. Drinks very well with food.

13.5% alcohol. Semi-soft wax top with very short cork of decent quality. Light colour with significant turbidity. The nose has intense and pure red fruit, redcurrant, wild cherry and just a hint of strawberry. The mouth is another story, unfortunately: for most of the meal, there was an intrusive tingly sensation which kind of spoiled the experience. Could this be dissolved CO2 even after all this time? Maybe I should have decanted the bottle, not something I remember ever being …

Bright and expressive with layered aromas of cherry, cranberry, and wild strawberry, underscored by a subtle touch of dark blue fruit. The palate is vibrant yet refined, showing excellent balance and structure. Silky tannins lead into a long, mineral-driven finish.

Natural wines can always be a little disappointing - when just opened this was wonderful with lots of fresh wild strawberry starting to show some depth from ageing, a really stunning wine. At the end of my second glass I already started to sense some imbalance, and on day 2 this was completely mousy and disgusting. I have two more bottles of this vintage, I'll have to drink them up a little more quickly when I open them.

Amazing - third bottle over 4 years. Perfect spot. Intense red fruit - wild strawberry beaming through. Everything beautifully integrated. The intensity on the nose is matched by the intensity on the pallet. I don’t think the grand cru Burgundy comparison describes this wine accurately. It’s great value but distinctively gamay - and a lesson on how great gamay can be!

Why don’t I drink more cru beaujolais? Was looking for something on the lighter side of red to pair with turkey burgers and this was a great match! Lots of dark cherry on opening. On the palate, the dark fruit was lifted by a little cranberry and some interesting herbal notes and just a hint of green pepper. Tangy acidity and smooth tannins on a medium finish. I prefer to drink wine with food but I continued to enjoy sipping …

deep purple in the glass with lighter ruby hue around the rim. attractive scents of potpurri, incense, dark cherries, cola, and earth. tasted on the first day, this was very bright and fruit forward but developed quite well and on the second day, the fruit core is dark and rich with notes of plums, black berries, mulberries, and there is a lovely integration of wood bringing out earthy notes. medium bodied and lasting forever. hard to believe this juice came …

Very solid Beaujolais! Ripe berry, silky tannin and savory finish. Doesn’t have the gamay funk and no reduction at all. It’s made in the style as a serious red. It wouldn’t be the wine that I’m seeking for but definitely enjoyable.

A lively and joyous wine that is overflowing with spice and rose petals. Sad this is the last of a case of 750's, and based on my last experience with magnum those could use some more time. Will start checking in on 2020 750's next, I hope they're as delightful as this vintage. To be clear this isn't just great "for the money" -- this is a great wine full stop -- that happens to also be a bargain.

Pale ruby color, slightly cloudy. Nose of cranberry, pomegranate, a bit of dried cherry, touch of earthy funk, purple florals and sweet baking spices. Similar flavors on the palate with mostly dried red fruits and juicy mouthfeel and finish. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. These rarely disappoint.

Burgundy nose and offers tart cherry and raspberries with a spicy touch. High acidity, even so high and a funky on that on day two I started doubting whether this one was completely correct. Nevertheless a pleasant wine with high intensity and a pretty long finish.

Sweet-fruited on the nose with ripe dark cherries and wild strawberries. On the palate medium-bodied with a chewy rather than crunchy feel. Doesn’t have too much weight or tannin and the ripeness is not over the top but lacks zip and freshness. Finishes clean and pleasant though, if a bit watery perhaps. This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose has massive blood orange, pomegranite, red cherry, fresh bay leaf, and dry dusty soil. The palate shows low tannin and medium plus acid, replaying much of the red fruit and blood orange. There is a slightly distracting yeasty note that I get on the finish that I sometimes get in low sulfur wines, which I’m not sure I love. I don’t usually like gamay but this wine is lovely. A naturalist Morgon vinified in the traditional whole-cluster method for 3-4 weeks. The grapes are sourced from all Foillard vineyards around Morgon, vineyards ranging from 10 to 90 years in age. Aged for 5-6 months in stainless steel. Bottled with minimal SO2. 13% alcohol. Quite translucent but rather deep ruby red color. Casual wine tasting : Very impressed by this. First check-in for 2019 Beaujolais and lived up to the hype of the vintage. Fresh, delicious red fruit (I tried my best to avoid repeating crunchy, lifted as a descriptor for Foillard) and a lovely zip to the wine. I'll have to seek out more of this.
