(resto) X. Auerbach a parfaitement exprimé tout ce qui fait que ce vin est merveilleux. Le style Roulot, cristallin mais avec du fond, splendide nez et bouche magnifiquement équilibrée. Très beau, 93-94

First bottle from a four-bottle lot purchased from a reputable Dutch merchant in 2020. Diam 10. Silky and seamless, pure and precise, fragrant and elegant, hint of gun smoke, hardly any reduction, subtly layered fruit (creamy lemon and orchard fruit with a tropical edge), on the lighter side on the palate but with a lovely succulence, hint of earth, barely visible oak, a line of lively acidity provides back bone, salted lemon on the light finish with very good length. …

Tasted side-by-side with 17' Roulot Porusot. Both were delicious, and while the Porusot had an edge with it's voluptuous orchard fruit, this more lineal Monthélie held its own, showing a bit more acidity and great precision. Lovely wine!

Fine. Good for the appellation and you do get a bit of the house style. On the leaner side with good acidity, but this bottle felt a little more rounded and mature to me.

For what the appellation is, you get a lot of bang for your buck here. Clean, bright, and archetypally Roulot with an incisive acidity and minerality. Sure, it doesn't have the depth and complexity of the "better" bottlings, but for the money, you definitely get a very good sense of Roulot's house style.

Excited to try this, slow oxed for 3 hours, wow wine, lemon, white flowers, supremely elegant, zen like balance & purity, great depth & weight, lots of mineral, kept getting better in the glass,

JM Roulot’s smallest domaine holding at 0.19Ha. I agree that it seems to be the QPR play in his lineup. Gunflint and a somewhat large dollop of sulfur on the nose, it takes a while to blow off. Don’t be afraid to decant this, or let it slow ox in bottle a long while. The underlying material is so pure and clean with mouth puckering acidity. Lime, starfruit, kiwi and white peach lead into fine minerals. It’s got the lithe, …

Acyso’s TN is right on. I would add the palate is a step up from the nose, the bright and friendly energy this wine brings comes out when you taste. More enjoyable than many of the more expensive Roulot’s I’ve had

Bottled under Diam 10. For the money, I think this may well be the QPR standout of the Roulot lineup (also the Bouchères). A touch of reduction that isn't overbearing and fruit that feels surprisingly tropical on the nose. The palate isn't as tropical as the nose would suggest and there are the bright acids and a good mineral kick that any decent bottle of white Burgundy ought to have. An easy-drinking bottle that's delicious already.

Tasted blind. White flowers, apples, and some noticeable oak flavors on the nose. There's nice complexity underneath, but it's not really coming through that much right now. Quite rich on the palate with medium acidity, orchard fruit, some popcorn notes, and a bit more oak. Finish is relatively long. Overall, a good wine, although a bit disappointing. Felt heavy handed, not what I would expect from a Roulot in a great vintage.

way too young but already enjoyable. Good balance and structure. Fresh and Clean. Nose is quite not there yet, but normal for this baby
