On nose: complex notes of jalapeño pepper, fresh limes, and tart nectarine. On palate: all above flavour notes singing jazz...in addition to sea salt, stony minerals, some kiwi, passion fruit and a creamy mouthfeel doing a tightrope act with the sleek, present acidity....a definite rival to Cloudy Bay. Great with all seafood, shellfish through to halibut and sea bass.....will buy again.

Excellent value and a benchmark NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Citrus, Grated Coconut and just a tiny bit of a Riesling like petrol aroma hit you before even gets close. One of the most powerfully aromatic SBs I’ve tried. All of the grapefruit, citrus and herbal notes you’d expect. With a saline minerality and long finish. we loved this one.

Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of grapefruit, apples, tropical fruit notes of passion fruit & hints of mango with overtones of lemon curd, lemongrass & floral notes, stony, flinty & minerals. Poured a glass and left it in the fridge for an hour. Advanced colour for a two year old wine. Lemon/grapefruit, green kiwifruit, passionfruit and a dill-like herbaceousness dominate the nose. Quite intense palate and length of lemon and honey, and kiwifruit palate. Mouthwatering acidity. Good mouth feel. Lovely wine. 95 points.

A: med straw N: lime, pink grapefruit, grass, flint, kiwi, passion fruit P: dry, high, fresh explosive acidity, med slightly chalky texture, med body, 13.5% ABV C: very good = balanced ripe fruit and fresh acidity, med (+) intensity, med concentration, long finish on lemon, kiwi and subtle savory note of herbs. Drink now. Great example of what a NZ SB can be at a reasonable price point.

This was perfect for my palate. Lots of fresh tropical fruits (passionfruit in particular), but nothing over the top. The volatile green notes were in check, but showed classic Sauvignon character. Just the right amount of acidity. Beautiful with Thai food.

Decanted for 4 hours the night before then returned to the bottle. Still some of the signature filintiness but in great balance with the ripe, tangy fruit. One of the worlds best value wines in my opinion.

relatively deep color, intensely aromatic as you would expect. thiol explosion. on the palate typical cat's claw acids, nice midpalate depth and weight, finishes dry and quite long and layered. a step above the typical overcropped cheap NZ SB, really, really nice. drink now

Aroma LEAPS out of the glass but initially is quite tightly wound. Flint, minerals, hints of guava and passionfruit. I feel like I can smell the acidity radiating up, which is ridiculous of course. Unwinds a bit to show a dead ringer for Granny Smith apple. Opens up further to reveal honey and parmesan. Freshly cut rockmelon and guava. Lightly grassy. Decidedly flinty. Fleshy through the mid-palate. Draws in to a crisp citrus infused finish. Really good Sauvignon that would give top notch Sancerre a run for its money.

Much sauvignon, very blanc. Gooseberries, grass and greenery with some stone fruits and a general sweetness followed by an acidic cut. I think it's generally fine, but it doesn't persist, and isn't super interesting
