Lighter, more translucent red. Strawberry to raspberry on the nose. Full bodied, higher tannins. Some currants, more on the cherry side for the taste.

2014 vintage

Color is a deep garnet with some browning. The wine is showing quite a bit of progression for a 2014 (could be cellaring issues). The nose is overripe cherries, cola, mushroom, balsamic vinegar. The palate is a bit too alcoholic, and shows most of the same notes from the nose. This is clearly New World and lacks finesse of Burgundy (and honestly most Oregon wines). Would not buy again.

Aged very well. Still has good fruit up front and a touch of tannin on the back of the tongue. Wish I had 5 more bottles of it.

Slight fruit nose, medium red, beautiful lingering sweetness combined with red and dark fruit flavours, some spice notes, good length. A very refreshing satisfing wine . Tannins are slightly noticeable on the back of the palate. This is still a young wine with no degradation or signs of advanced aging after 10yrs in the bottle. This wine will continue to age and I believe develop more complexity of flavours. Yummy now

Late night at home. Popped for wife. Lots of history behind this bottle I purchased 10 years ago. Drank in Grassl Cru. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral violets, spice, earth with a porcini mushroom edge, elegant red cherries, more strawberries with more air. Developing. Medium transparency with garnet color. Floral cherry and strawberry nose. Palate has rhubarb, cherry, rose petal, and some sandalwood that carry into a medium to medium-long finish. In a good place. Drink or hold.

Medium ruby, rich and fruit-forward, blending raspberries, cherries, baking spices, and cola. Juicy palate of strawberry and cherry flavors, balanced with an amount of ripeness I enjoy. This was my first bottle from this producer and I will look to find more. A 10+ year old bottle that was ready to go when I opened it.

Big and rich as expected from the vintage. Drinking splendidly at the moment. I see no reason to hold any longer.

2015 vintage

Drank alongside a 1986 Bouchard Pere et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin at Thanksgiving. Oregon was the crowd pleaser early on, but France finished stronger. Both surprisingly fresh and delicious given sub-optimal storage.

1992 vintage

I am less impressed compared to my last tasting 2 years ago. The primary flavors have aged considerably, with little secondary development. It is still well balanced with good acidity, but fading. I will stick with my 2026 end of drinking window, but I will keep a bottle or 2 until 2036 on the chance that this could blossom into something completely different with extended aging.

Drinking well right now, with bright cherry on the palate and good acidity. The tannins are well aged. Fair amount of precipitate so consider decanting first. The will age well until 2028.

Lovely floral aromas of red berries and hints of wood and smoke, clear light ruby red color, all leading in to a palate of integrated fresh raspberry and dark cherry flavors, subtle hints of wood and earth, and amazingly refined tannins. Very similar to my previous impression from 2021: “ Open with lovely cherry flavors, but good substance. Light Oregon spice, but Burgundian style. (Everyone thought it was French) More forward than the Savigny Lavieres of the same vintage, but more attractive and forward. Very nicely done, Veronique.” Decanted 2 hours.

Classically well-balanced Oregon Pinot. Honestly one of those ones where I'm not really paying attention and the wine disappears, moreso than a grab you by the lapels "OMG" experience.

Incredible bottle after 12 years. Immediate notes of white pepper, cherry with great acidity. This bottle will continue to improve which means I'm holding my last bottle.

I think this compares very much with Roche de Bellene Vosne Romanée Malconsorsts. Quite dark colour and deep strong taste of dark fruit. Quite long taste

Continues to age nicely, but palate is fairly simple. Plenty of fruit and acid to allow further aging, hoping for more mature and complex qualities to emerge. Slightly rough tannins on opening that smoothed out after decanting (recommended). Extending my drinking window out to 2027.

mmmmm. What a beautiful wine. Very delicate flavors of red and blue fruit, some hints of earth, nicely structured on the light side of medium bodied.

This fooled me. I was previously thinking that the drinking window was closing 5 years ago. Wrong. It has continued to mature gracefully. Beautiful and well balanced, on the downhill side of the window.

On the big side for Willamette Pinot, consistent with the vintage. Not showing much age, should have several years left.

No detailed notes. Recall it being rather light in color with simple aromas and an equally simple palate. It was nicely balanced but there really was nothing to get excited about. All in all disappointing considering the producer and the vintage. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

Gorgeous bottle. Smelled delightful, tasted great. A red fruit profile with a lot of spice. Not quite delicate, but certainly not a full bodied pinot. Framed by nice acidity.

North London TWS Tastings series: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (Must and Lees, N1) : Shy nose - perhaps hint of white pepper. Palate has bright redcurrant, some more pepper spice. Acidity kicks in quite quickly.

Piercingly bourgogne and really nice, but another one suffering from imposter syndrome. I would just ignore the label and the geography and enjoy the wine!

Oak too dominant for me. Also how is this so closed for a 2011? Where's the fruit and lightness? Alcoholic and astringent. Not impressed. Hard and aggressive. Stoney and resistant to pleasure.

Chardonnays and Pinots of North London (Must & Lees) : Spicy, with forest fruits. Soft and enjoyable. Didn't seem to have changed much from the time I had it in 2019 - plenty of time in hand.

This continues to be in a very good spot in the drinking window as others have commented. The fruit is well aged but there is plenty of acid that could allow this to age for a few more years. Suggest decanting before drinking as there is a fair amount of tartaric acid and other sediment. My original 2024 end of the drinking window is soft, and you might want to set aside a bottle to try in 2026.

Bandon Dunes PTI: 2012 Oregon Pinots; 2/14/2022-2/15/2022 (Bandon Dunes Resort) : No formal notes on all these '12's. Great balance and earth notes backing up the cherry fruit is what I remember.

PnP, but better after 15 minutes of air. The nose showed some light red fruit. The medium bodied palate showed moderate amounts of dark red fruit (dark cherry & raspberry), spice, earth, and acidity. Well balanced, with no one aspect being distinctive -- but lacking any excitement. Well made, but not distinctive. Not sure if it will continue to develop, but it should hold for at least a couple more years.

Top of the cork was stained and wet. when I used Coravin to pour a glass for dinner the cork popped out 1/4” Not ideal, but the wine was fine after 1 hour in glass.

Decanted for over 2 hours. Aroma: very floral, herbal notes, eucalyptus and black cherries. Palate: raspberries, cherries, grippy tannins, high acidity with a short to medium finish. Paired it with Beecher’s Flagship white cheddar which softened the tannins a tad and made the wine more approachable. Suzanne's bottle, opened at Cuvee. Not decanted. Warm red color, tart cherry fruit, earthy with some spice. Very lovely and Burgundian and barely middle aged, there's more complexity to come.

Bright red fruit, light, spicy, saline. Burgundian as all get out. This is the only 11’ Willamette Valley Pinot I’ve had so far that tasted good. Markedly different experience from the bottle we tried in 2020.

No formal notes. Great OR PN. Dark raspberry, earthy notes with nice structure. Ready to go with decant.

Very well made wine. Still lively and fruit forward after 15 years (and in a 375). Enticing fruit, nice earthiness and extremely well balanced with firm acidity. Drinking great.
