Dark ruby in color with a reddish brick rim. Pretty nose and dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing plums, cooked cherries, light oak, spices, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, wet leaves and peppercorn. Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries. This 17 year old is peaking now. Soft and rich, yet elegant. A gorgeous wine. A great sipping wine to have all by itself, and will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak. I've had …

This wine is clearly at peak or over and should be drunk VERY soon. This wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petite Verdot. The nose starts off with lovely barnyard, followed by black fruit, loamy dirt, herb, and green notes. The mouth on this medium to full bodied wine is layered and rich with blackberry, dark cherry, spice, good extraction, along with plum, intense mouth coating tannins, and sweet cedar. The finish is long and spectacular, …

What a lovely wine - this wine is still screaming with intense tannins and smokey notes - lovely!! This was the first true varietal true Cabernet Sauvignon from Yatir, until then all the Cab was blended into the blend of the Forest. The wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz. The nose on this purple to black colored wine is screaming with oriental spice, rich leafy tobacco, cloves, black fruit, and roasted herb. The mouth on …

Awesome. Fully mature, should hold peak for a while, but can't imagine it gets much better. Black fruits on the big nose and palate. Really great

Medium to full body, deep ruby red color, aromatic, forest berries, ripe plum, spicy and woody aroma, blueberry, red fruits, spices and oak on the palate, spicy and peppery on finish, medium long finish, powerful, complex and balanced, nice acidity, completely integrated tannins. Food friendly. Associates with meat or fowl. Serve 18º - 22º. Open half hour in advance. Drink now.

Excellent, full bodied, deep purple collor. Has great black/forest fruits on the nose, and a very long finish. Lots of sedinminet, still maturing, drink now, but save some for the future

On first day the wine was very close, after three days it opened up and tasted more balance. Will drink the other bottle in 2-3 years

As with every nearly bottle of wine I have enjoyed from this winery over the years, an extremely enjoyable oenophilic experience. This was Yatir’s fist Cabernet Sauvignon varietal which was released to great (and justified) critical acclaim, which has happily continued to be justified over the years. Initially opened with some trepidation due to some complaints here of a high alcohol, “hotness” and a lack of residual sugar which dissipated rapidly on first whiff. Deep, long, rich and generous, this …

Deep garnet is color. Very concentrated and rich. Black fruit, dirt, tobacco. Full bodied with well integrated tannins. Finish is long with rising spice and smoke on the finish...and tons of heat! Major alcohol bleed through on this bottle. Pretty sure it's bad. Will retry.

Very good, opened with a wierd nose, but after a while in the glass that largely went away. Don't remember that with this wine, will have to see what the next bottle brings

Not a pure Cabernet Sauvignon because it's blended with some Petit Verdot, but an excellent and elegant blend nonetheless. Opaque crimson in color with a wonderful mix of black fruits, coffee, dirt, spice and wood on the palate. Full bodied with muscular tannins yielding to long and elegant finish that is capped by a pinch of spice. Has a young bullying feel that will tame with age.

Tasted during a blind taste of Israelis C.S. in Wine Route Ramat Hasharon. Opaque ruby color. A very complex nose, with ripe fruits, perfume and farm. Excellent. Full-bodied, with hints of sweetness and bitterness in the palate. Well integrated tannins. Also hints of bitterness in the finish. Very good. (28$)

Definitely a little Napa - but a lot going on - the Merlot and Petite Verdot soften and add complexity - this could get even better in a few years.

Still young, but developing nicely since November. Great QPR and a great wine as a compliment to the forest. Yatir continues to impress with three 2005 blockbusters.

Good, but less interesting than the Shiraz. Black/purple. Fresh forest fruit nose. Powerful attack of cassis and black cherries. Smooth tannins on a gravel/mineral/cedar background showing some cinnamon and an almost lemony acidity preparing for a long finish with some vanilla, and a bit, bit of cooked fruit.
