Bevuto dopo 2h dall'apertura. Profumi al naso, buoni. Al gusto, legno molto verde ed acidità alta che rendono poco equilibrato questo nebbiolo. Il secondo giorno è migliorato, attenuando quanto detto, ha avuto bisogno di molta ossigenazione.

Medium ruby in colour. Nose of blackberry, plum, cherry, tobacco, liquorice and dried herbs. Plum, cherry, pepper, blackberry, tobacco and prunes on the palate. Dry and medium-plus bodied with medium-plus acidity. Medium-plus tannins with a long, rustic and oaky finish.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim. Fruity nose of blueberries, sweet cherries, raspberries, light oak, spices, licorice, black pepper, earth, light vegetables and tobacco leaf. Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with black currants, black cherries, plums, sweet strawberries, earth, spices, light oak, tobacco, herbs and peppercorn. Enjoyed with Mexican food, it’s roped fruit makes sense and it’s a funny variety of the classic Nebbiolo style wine. Stylish I would rather compare this to a basic Barbera than a Piemonte Nebbiolo... How ever the price vs. ratio is still pretty okay.. The italian heritage of mr. Cetto is still present in the wine though nicely adjusted to the mexican kitchen:-)

While not a "real" Nebbiolo, this wine was great. Easy drinking without the candy sweetness of some of the cheap Nebbies, it was light, fragrant, food friendly and fun.

Blackberries, red cherries, fig, plum, smoke, earth, herbs, a hint of barnyard, and vanilla on the nose. Red cherries, cranberries, plum, herbs, spice, and earth on the palate. Good acidity, grippy tannins, moderate finish. Aside from the tannins, nothing about this wine screams nebbiolo, but this was a reasonably solid, maybe a bit nondescript, red wine. It worked well with dinner.

From 75cl, good cork. A Nebbiolo with the body and sweetness of a Sonoma Zinfandel; not sure if this is a good thing. Dried raisin/Amarome concentration, the tannins hint at Neb but otherwise this could be almost any varietal exposed to a hot climate and subjected to very good vinification. 139 DKR retail in Marielyst, DK. 86P(?)

Super rqp. Bon nebbiolo, on retrouve la cerise et un côté boisé / torréfié / vanille de l'élevage en fût bien présent. Les tannins ne sont pas trop intense pour du nebbiolo. Bonne longueur et complexité. Acidité moyenne. Déjà bon et à prendre dans les 3 prochaines années.

A night out in Mexico City Red fruit, cedar, mushrooms and herbs. More full bodied than Piedmont Nebbiolo. Really nice.

Thick, juicy, chewy and smoky Nebbiolo. There is an abundance of cherries, blackberries and plums, but also meat, tobacco and leather. Tannins are very chewy. Power before elegance.

Nose: Ripe red fruit, cinamon, clove, vainilla, tobaco Palate: Medium acidity, tannins medium +, high alcohol, nice finish Serious wine at this price point, surprised by the astringency, new oak? The 2004 / 2005 of this wine were great, then they had a few mediocre vintages, but this tastes serious again, would give it 2 - 5 years more in the bottle.

Perhaps not as silky as its Italian relatives, this still impressive nebbiolo stands on its own as it carries smoke and blueberries on the aroma, firm tannins on the palate with a nice balance of acidity. Drinking well in 2014.

Ouvert dans le cadre d'une dégustation verticale de L.A. Cetto Nebbiolo Réserve Privé des millésimes 1999,2000,2001,2004 et 2006. 5 types de bouchées en accord avec chacun des millésime ont été servies aux invités. Le 2004 et le 2006 ont carafés 4 heures. Il n'y a pas eu de consensus sur lequel était le meilleur, chacun brillait à sa façon. Pour ma part, j'ai préféré le 2001.

Good nebbiolo fruit on the nose. Definitely a ripe vintage, but this bottle has a lot of depth going for it, with deep fruitiness, a good dry backbone, and a bit of peat.

enjoyed this. there was a nice richness to it but a salinity that made it a bit cloying.

Darker ruby color with light rim. Nose: rich black cherry and boysenberry fruit with licorice, leather, rose petals, and dusty old cedar. Medium body on the palate: again the intense high-toned black cherry and boysenberry framed by licorice and dried herbs (Ricola?) as well as espresso and dry earth. Bright, juicy acidity. Moderate dusty tannins. Lingering dried herbs, earth, and some graphite on the moderate/long finish. Beautiful expression of Nebbiolo. Drinking well now. Extremely impressed with this estate overall.

Nice fruity nose, but taste is too ripe for me. Overpowering ripeness eliminates most other features this wine usually has either in earlier 2003 bottles and other vintages. Not sure if it is just this bottle or something that's happened to the vintage at this point.

ages well. unfortunately my last bottle of 2004. Will keep a few bottles of the 2005 for longer to see what happens.

Significantly better than the recent bottle. Rather than the soft ripe development of that earlier bottle, this one is pretty tightly wound and wonderful. Nose has rich mown grass and floral notes. The palate is earthy,full of nebbiolo fruit with good acid backbone with light tannins, and it is all well-balanced across the entire taste. I'm going to move its due date from 2011 to 2012.

Softer and more developed fruit than in earlier vintages I've had. Palate is rich with earthly nebbiolo notes but fruit is more ripe than before. Lacks some of the punch of other vintages. But nicely balanced and pleasurable.

Visually, it is a pure strawberry red, with a medium body. The nose shows nice dark red fruit notes, with volcanic stone, granite, and maybe even a touch of rose petal. There are also some bramble fruits, the slightest amount of chocolate and pepper, and a bit of vanilla bean. Extraordinary rich and sweet wine. Muted aroma, but full throttle rumtopf/ dustbin juice/ overripe summer fruit taste - in that respect remarkably like a Fuligni Brunello recently drunk, but of course A) a Nebbiolo and B) a third of the price. 90P, a quite unexpected delight!

This bottle sells for less than US$10 in Mexico, making it a killer QPR! Deep purple in color with lots of cassis and a smooth mouth, perhaps lacking a little acidity. Great value.

this is a sly one. i get some of the traditional nebbiolo nose - black tea, dried black cherries, hint of violet and some earthy undertones. I don't know how else to describe the nose but a little brash. Forward.
