While the rim on this is burgundy, the core is blackberry; an inky dark blue-red. The nose is expansive. Where the nose ends and the palate begins is almost hard to say. They mimic each other exceptionally well with eucalyptus, licorice, rosemary, cassis, balsamic vinegar (the real stuff), and violets. Nice dark fruit and well balanced tannins. I wish I had more bottles.
