Screw cap closure, in my cellar since release. Lively wine with nice texture and showing no appreciable age. Fresh with lemon, floral and stone fruit aromas and flavors. Nice depth and length. Lightly creamy. I’m guessing partial Malo. Moderately long finish. Drank with new neighbors in Key West.

Library release at 10 years for club members. It really aged gracefully. It’s picked up some complexity and still has a vibrant acidity and long finish. According to the tech sheet, it’s 100% malo but they obviously blocked the diacetyl production because there’s no buttery note. They also note that it was aged on the lees in once used oak. Imparts a bit of toasty spice but it doesn’t overpower. It’s clearly a great recipe.

From bottle with screw cap closure. Wine very fresh, tastes only a few years old. The color is medium lemon yellow with a nose of tropical fruit, citrus, m honeysuckle, acacia flower and vanilla/oak. Medium bodied slightly saline, with pineapple, minerals, citrus (mostly lemon, perhaps Meyer lemon) and vanilla. Finish is pleasant but fairly short. Curiously I thought this was better when I finished the last 2 glasses which had been kept in the refrigerator for a week!?!

Lovely bright medium yellow color with a very citrus, very light oak and white peach on the nose. Bright flavors with minerals and high acidity in addition to the lemon and other diverse citrus and peach on the finish.

Bright medium yellow color. Nose has a little oak/vanilla but not much, more minerals, limestone, citrus, pear and green apple. Bright, high acidity (and the screwcap closure) keep this tasting very young with a lively mouth feel. Flavors are lemon, pear and apple with stony minerality. Clean fresh and very long finish

I just had a small taste of this which was taken to a friend's house for a light meal. Classic Sonoma -Cutrer Les Pierres...rich, textured with light oak treatment and lots of flowers, honey, butter cream and white peach and citrus. Medium lemon yellow to gold color. Very precise and balanced. A pleasure to drink. Plenty of life left especially due to the screw cap closure. This was a fresh as the day it was bottled which has both positive …

Very good wine! With swordfish. Dinner with Rick Leland and Kim Tripp. Better than the 2010. Drink up!

Next to the 2009, this was much harsher and less interesting flavor and palate. Still good. Drink up.

Medium bright yellow color. Lots of minerals on the nose with citrus undertones. on the palate this is very fresh and young (screw cap??) with plenty of acidity and a nice balance of lemon and nectarine along with the sharp minerality. Not sure if the screw cap closure will allow this wine to put on the "weight" and complexity with time that I love in good older Chard's???

Light to medium yellow. Lively nose with lots of complexity including melon, pineapple, lemon zest, butter, honeysuckle, flint, oak/ vanilla...all very much in harmony.. Mouthfeel is a little austere and firm with plenty of acidity. In the mid palate the butter and minerals stand out. Finish is quite long 20-30 seconds with nutty citrus. This was actually better the second evening with the screw cap back on in the fridge...it needed the extra air time. I would disagree that this …

Bright, medium lemon yellow color. Nose is slightly toasty with wet stones and honeysuckle along with lemony citrus. On the palate this is very vibrant with great acidity, some pear notes and huge minerality like limestone. Despite the high acidity it has a fairly rich mouth feel with a lot of viscosity to the wine. Well balanced and complex with a honey lemon finish and a reprise of the slight toast element. I like this a lot and would expect …

Still holding up well, not too much oak or butter, smooth Rick lemon, orange, honey and just a touch of butterscotch. Paired on this occasion with crep's!

Served at cellar temp 53 degrees, again nice balance between fruit, butter and oak, excellent with grilled fish, with lemon butter sauce.

Beautiful, straw-hued, and smooth all the way through, with that bit of stoney mineral. Good balance. Another consistent wine from Sonoma-Curer, enjoyed over time across numerous vintages. We had this one with homemeade Lobster-broth risotto with shitake mushrooms.

Another nice showing, nice balance between the lemon, marmalade, honey and butter, some oak but again in check. Paired quite well with grilled Chilean sea bass, roasted carrots, grilled mushrooms and grilled zucchini.

In Key West at Blue Heaven restaurant - fabulous Caribbean spot. Most places in KW not known for wine lists, this place was one of the best lists i have seen in town. First experience with this wine - screw-top, from a reliable producer. Surprised to the upside (3 bottles in for this crew), very food friendly, went well with everything from red snapper to caribbean jerk chicken. Citrus, apples, baked pears. Fruit and minerality in balance. Drinks well now …

Near perfect balance between fruit and minerals. An elegant, clean, food friendly Chardonnay, that paired perfectly with jumbo lump crab cakes..

This bottle was smokin tonight. Pear, green apple, lemon zest and of ours hints of butter. All favors or balance, with excellent acidity, suggesting a couple/3years of bottle age would be beneficial! Pair beautiful with grilled turbot, baby stuffed red peppers.
