Out of magnum. The score improved over the time it was opened to when it was finished. 3 hrs. Deep color, good fruit and weight on the palate. Has time on its side.

This faded fast since a bottle few months ago (as I feared it might). Faint berry nose. Strawberry fruit, sharp spice, bit of heat on the palate. Fine tannins, bit hard acidity, out of balance. Finishes long, hard and red fruited. Past prime.

Dark red at the core with translucent cherry at the edges. Savory nose, bit of cherry. The palate has strawberry, cherry liqueur, bit of spice. Slightly hot (14.3% ABV). Fine tannins, nice acidity, fair balance. Finishes moderately long with spice and red fruits. Again, a bit of heat on the finish. Not bad at this point, but I'd drink up.

Clean, no sediment. Slightly bricking in color. Sweet cherry, rhubarb and a bit of pine jump from glass. Medium weight, with bright cherry, red licorice, heather and sweet cola notes fading to slightly acidic finish. This wine is at a good spot, so drink now.

Did not decant. Mild acidity remained as did quite a bit of fruit (darker ripe fruit, currant and raisin). Very enjoyable even at 12 yrs old.

Drank over two nights. Bought at the winery. Ruby red colored, medium bodied. strong cherry nose, cotton candy, red licorice. Good acidity. Well balanced. Lots of red berries. Medium finish. Great structure. Very sophisticated wine. The winery is a nice place to visit as well. All around this is one classy wine. Fantastic! Magnums are better!!

Ready to drink but if you have from a cold cellar it will last a few more years. Not at all tired, no donut holes, round and full fruited, earthy and luscious. Bought on release from the winery and kept in cold cellar, thank you very much! Glad i have more!!

Still holding up well, expressed some muted berry flavors and a little funkiness. Great wine, but you get what you pay for in terms of the QPR.

Ripe black fruit on nose and palate with good concentration. Liqueur hints. New oak notes remain. Very fun start, slightly hollow middle, then slightly tired finish.

PNP. Has some decent fruit and smokey bacon fat. Modest acidity relative to the vintage. A little boozey, and hot, probably won't improve for more than a year or two. By all means not worth the price.

Arcus is at peak right now. The fruit is just muted enough to let the spice come into balance. Drink now.

Served with Mr. B's Barbeque Shrimp. rich taste of wine held up and complimented. The rich sauce.

Lots of black cherries and berries, still slightly jammy, while nicely maturing. Faint hint of liqueur. New oak spice still comes across somewhat pronounced, but it still adds a nice additional spice note. Drink up, it's already started the back nine. 1/4 of the bottle was left, corked reinserted and bottle refrigerated until 2 nights later. Wine was removed from the refrigerator for an hour before tasted agai. Much more tired than 48 hours earlier.

Wonderfully complex Pinot with the characteristic Dundee funk. No rush on this one, give it another decade to develop.

Very primary and forward red and black fruit. Some earth. The alcohol pierced the fruit and while this was fresh and vibrant it didn't have much depth.

2002 vintage

This was much better than I remembered the last bottle being. Nose with black raspberry, cranberry, dried rose petals, orange peel, and some savory spicy notes. The palate is nicely integrated and balanced. Definitely seems mature at this point, but is still energetic and very pleasant. Quite good overall.

Get a light sour fruit flavor. There's this background of almost a fizziness that seems a bit odd. Wine doesn't feel totally off, but also not quite right. Still a decent wine, but for the price point, doesn't feel like it merits it. As earlier notes mentioned it's lacking a bit in complexity.

This was ok, not great. Dark fruit and something else somewhat sharp that I couldn't place. I think it was just beyond its prime.

especially dense for a pinot noir, very well balanced with controlled fruit, good structure, distinctive and complex--a great one.

Drank over the course of 3 day hoping it would get better. Not bad, just unimpressive. Drinking like a Beaune village rather than a grand cru (like its price)

Popped n poured. Best between hours 1-3. Candied cherry and floral notes. Elements are there but a bit weak on nose concentration and a bit thin in the glass. Would be better at $40, but as the fifth most expensive "09 Oregon Pinot at $90, this is underwhelming. Drink them if you've got "em; it's drinking as good as it ever will.
