Giacomo Boveri Derthona Muntà l'é ruma

Medium gold. Pineapple with orange and lemon citrus, salinity on the nose. Citrus and tropical on the palate. Round and fruit forward with good mid-palate acidity leading to a mineral finish. Nice mouthfeel and balance. Reminiscent of a very good villages Chablis.

Bottle 1340g. Moderately intense aromas of pineapple, canned peach and lemon, with floral and earthy notes and something plasticky. Dry, with elevated tart acidity, some phenolic grip, full-bodied, 13.5% abv. Ripe fruit on the palate, fresh and fairly long, with enough character to pair with roast chicken with tarragon.

Grapefruit, lemony and minerally nose. Palate is really good - dominant grapefruit. Not rich when cold. Another cracking Boveri. 95+

Green melon, pear and green apple and apple blossom nose. Palate is green lime, round ripe mouthfeel with some honey, melon and great acid. Fruit of a Chardonnay and acid of a Riesling. 94

Bella bottiglia di un produttore tra i meno mediatici nell'area Derthona. All'olfatto è un po' ritroso ed offre un bel mazzo di fiori bianchi ed erbe; al sorso dimostra tutta la sua classe avvolgendo il palato e riempendo la bocca con un perfetto bilanciamento tra acidità e spessore. Bottiglia già perfettamente godibile ora.

Lemony, quartz rock, saltiness, bit if green apple. Great tension and drive. Pear drops. 95.

Intense pear, ripe fruit but not sweet. Almost too intense and raw. Even better after a day - intense pear drops, grapefruit pith. 94
