Savory, subtle notes to the nose. Lean on the palate, just opened though so probably needs to flesh out. Lots of grip and minerality.

Getting pretty good- 2 years ago was disappointing. Now coming together. Thing this is going to turn the corner and get good in a few years

While young and somewhat primary, this is a well made wine that pairs great with food, especially in its youth. While tough to resist now, time is your friend. Initial attack on first pour was astringent. A solid one hour decant made all the difference.

Nice bouquet of earthy blackberry and dark cherry with some floral and herbal undertones. Medium/light in body and soft and juicy on the palate with flavors of salted dark cherry with some minerality. Medium acidity and medium tannins culminate in a juicy then dry finish. Very nice.

Tight and intense. Old School needs lots of air. Very good with potential for long time storage. Great!

Cherry, plummy and initially brambly fruit. Autumnal notes, cedar, some spice and a touch of liquorice. Bit tertiary and a pleasantly sweet palate. In a nice spot. Mostly coravined bottle. Could do with some time I'm sure, but was happy out the gate.

Light red color appears older than stated. Fruit very understated with a bit more tartaric taste than better Brunello’s. Oak barrel flavors are well-done which is the only bright spot. No redeeming aftertaste. This is an underachieving wine for its region.

Classic Brunello musty flavors of dirt and leaves overlayed with nice muted Plum flavors. Very drinkable now, might be better with a bit more age.

Rather reductive upon opening needing an hour of air to show well. Moderate density and dried black cherry notes. Hold the finish well, with repeating polished fruit notes. Could use a few years of aging but it’s nice now.

2017 Brunellos and other Italian wines : dark garnet and with good body in the glass. the nose is generous with black cherries, whiffs of plums, spice and savoury herbs. its fullness in the mouth is leavened by a remarkable freshness that makes some bright cherry and raspberry notes shine thru. it's a bit austere in the middle as the tannins take hold, but comes alive again toward a finish that is very long and goes from spicy to herbal …

-- cork pulled approx. 30 min. prior to tasting -- -- tasted blind over approx. 20 min. -- Red-fruited (cherry) and tight on the Nose. Garnet color. High acidity; strong tannins; tar. Both me and a friend guessed 2015 Barbaresco on this one. Needs time.

Drank side by side with 2017 Sesta do Sopra for early comparison. 4 hour double decant and then revisited over three days. Big, darker, richer than the Sesta. Smoother too, maybe more depth. Good now, will be better with time tannins particularly prominent on days 2-3.

Dry, vertical, hints of tobacco, ripe tannin, very sound and deep fruit. Much too young - but serious wine. #PensionDanmark
