Lots of fruit and structure. Could go another 3 years

Dark ruby. Lovely nose of cherries, sandalwood and baking spice. Tastes mostly of dark cherries and cola initially, but finish is dominated by strong, not entirely pleasant, wood flavors. Still some rough tannins. Not terrible, but not distinguished.

Really nice perfume on this wine, with cherry and cola aromatics along with sandalwood. Nearing its peak, but not quite there. I suppose 2-3 more years are possible. To me this typifies quality RRV - certainly not viscous or cloying, but with good fruit presence, medium weight, and not so acid driven, overripe, or feminine as to suggest another terroir. Nice QPR around $30

Rose petals, spice, bright cherries, sweet pomegranate. Great acidity. More on the finesse that on the bold side.

Rich and full bodied, cherry and spice notes, minerality and zinging acidity on the finish.

Wow. So expressive, but in a very natural un-fucked-with way. It seems all the stars aligned in this vintage. Tasted next to the '12 and the '14, this middle sibling leaps out and shines in its depth, length, and exuberance (and if you’re into this like me, this vintage is slightly “saltier" than the '14 at this point). Six months ago it begged a major decant to show its true self but the length of air time needed now is …

Sweet black cherry, smoke, spice and earth adorn both the nose and palate of this medium-bodied, freshly acidic Pinot. With nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 13.5%) and medium-weight, slightly chewy tannins, it stays solid in the middle and closes with a lengthy, albeit mouth-puckering finish. Enjoy this now, but I will venture to guess that another year or so in the cellar will reap rewards. Drink 2017-2021.

Medium plus nose shows red cherry, black cherry, pomegranate, clean minerality like stony rock or pipe lead, cut roses. Palate shows expressive RRV style, molasses, black cherry, red cherry, fruit shines well not much oak influence, sunny style. Acidity medium, finish medium plus, complexity medium. Well made and classic.

Decanted for an hour and a half. Forest floor, dried raspberry, Classic Coke, cayenne pepper and crushed black top. A long and savory finish, with fresh acidity and a finely layered entry. Decant or wait at least a year. Drink 2017 - 2023.

I have struggled to find a quality Russian River Pinot in the $35 to $45 dollar range. Seemed to have found one here. Well balanced pinot with good intensity and body.

Nose - brambleberry Mouth - very juicy and rather light bodied, quite drinkable and fruit forward - crushed blackberries. Nice easy and comforting though not particularly complex

Color of red with pale edges. Scents of raspberry. Tasted thin, raspberry and a little boysenberry. Underwhelming. Like their Chardonnays much better than this Pinot Noir.
