Unscrewed and poured. Nose: Medium expressiveness, pear, apple, cantaloupe, and a little petrol. Palate: Medium bodied, pear, licorice, and some residual sugar adds some sweetness. Fades toward the beck-end resulting in a short, rather tart finish. Finished remainder of bottle on day 2, it had fallen apart - the last few ounces went down the drain.

Alsace with Emphasis on Gustave Lorentz (The Wine Club, San Francisco) : Fresh ripe apple and pear. Off dry. Pleasing texture without oiliness. Good earth on back end. More than the usual Pinot Blanc.
