Give it a few minutes in the decanter to smooth out a bit. Soft dark berries and cherries, medium intense body, smooth tannins. Nice medium long juicy finish. This is drinking very nice right now.

Day 1: Solid with spice, coffee beans, roasted nuts, berries and charcoal. Medium finish and good wine overall. 90 points Day 2: Much better than day 1. Coffee beans, menthol, red currants, dust and charcoal. Medium to long finish and concentrated. This wine has some long term aging potential. Excellent. 92 points Day 3: Prominent feature is black licorice with tar, menthol, spice, coffee beans and stones. Medium plus finish. Solid on all 3 days and very enjoyable. 92 points …

Delicious wine, perfect now. Dark, almost inky purple, with modest aromas of smoke, dry brush, and blackberry. Dark Chocolate and cocoa with luscious blueberry and blackberry, all the flavors are balanced and the tannins are soft and mature and supporting, a little acidity to peak the primary fruit flavors. This wine is not complicated, just delicious. Drink now.

Inky purple color, with aromas of dark fruit, cinnamon and white pepper, and subtle cedar. Full bodied flavors of blackberry, pomegranate, and dark chocolate. Still has tannin, acidity, and fruit intensity to go another 5 years, but good now with a little airing out.

Dark fruit, leather, smooth tannins. Beautiful. Time to drink.

I find L'Ecole wines usually improve with a few years in the bottle, and this is no exception. The fruit has mellowed but is still there, showing blackberry, black cherry and dried herbs. Still present fine tannins linger on the lengthy finish. Nicely proportioned overall.

Good, but bitter finish, typical of syrah.

Hour and a half decant, this falls to the fruity side, with dark cherry and light earth in both the nose and palate. This has some tannic backbone but drinks smoothly with a nice mouthfeel and a medium length finish.

Ready to drink. Moderate sediment. A bit heavy on leather, light on fruit, but quite enjoyable.

One of the best Syrahs we have had from any wine-growing region in years. Also, one of the best wines we have had in 2015. This is a single vineyard wine, and we found it to be concentrated, inky (as it should be) with a strong plum and spice taste and it was mouth-filling.. In spite of all that, it had an unmatched smoothness and elegance we have never seen in a Syrah. Served with New Mexico style carne adovada …

tiefdunkles Schwarzrot, opaker Kern; einladende Nase, dunkle Frucht, reif und üppig, präsent aber sehr feine Röstnoten; am Gaumen stoffig, kraftvoll, reifes mürbes Tannin en masse, konzentriert, dunkle Frucht und Röstnoten, sehr gute Länge

We had this at a friends 7/5/14 backyard BBQ. It had an expressive and complex bouquet of smoked meat, plum, blackberry, licorice and spice aromas. The palate was rich, dense and dry with flavors of plum, blackberry, olive, licorice and spice.

Remarkably accessible given its youth. Decanted for two hours regardless. Bright, fresh sweet cherries and berries on the nose. Deep purple in the glass. Very rich on the palate, with sweet fruit offset by enough earth to provide balance. Not the most complex, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Very dark purple with a big black fruit nose; notes of plum, cassis, black raspberry; also with some floral violet notes. The palate is ripe, rich, and concentrated. Its a touch hot on the back end. Overall this is pretty good. I don't like it as much as some of the other Walla Walla Syrahs such as Fjellene, K Vintners, and Dunham.
