Tasted at Vinitaly. By Cristina Oddero, 6th generation. UGA in Serralunga d'Alba. Med ruby/garnet. Classic Nebbiolo nose of red fruit, black fruit, red roses, licorice, tar, sweet baking spice. 25-28 day maceration. Aged 40 mos. in Austrian oak. Traditional style. Dry, w/ high acidity, pronounced tannins and high alcohol (14%), yet really well-balanced. Full-bodied yet lithe, with pronounced flavor intensity and length. Still youthful it benefits from a decant and has significant aging potential. Excellent quality. WS 95 in 2022.
