Funky raspberry on the nose; white pepper. Not unlike the D-Cubed I had last week, however the latter was much better. Light style wine good balance and structure but a very short finish. Not a bad QPR.

Journey through the Adriatic (Waterford Wine Co., Milwaukee) : herbal nose. much brighter. black tea and cigar box. cedar. randy claims to 'hate' this wine. does he have the two confused. no. ashtray is what he says. avignonesi producer.

Waterford Italian Adriatic Coast Staff Training (Waterford Wine Co.) : N. Ashtray. At best, cedar burnt to hell. Maybe, to be nice, a cigarette put out on a ripe raspberry. P. Cigarette butts. My god, please don't make me drink this ever again.

Raspberries with good green spicy fruit. Clipped finish, short, not that complex, but for $9.99 its a hell of a thing.

The property was built in the 1920s. This is straight primitivo. There is some seriously old barbello on the estate though. So is this a blend or not? No oak here, they want to preserve the fresh fruitedness. Very interested and fresh. Intense fruit and nice spice. This is really intresting primotivo. Good stuff. Serious beyond its price point.
