E. Molino, Barolo, Bricco Rocche

One of the most intriguing young versions of the Bricco Rocca I have ever tasted, even though it's clearly a youngster. Loaded with energy, spice, potpourri and dried grass on the fragrant nose. You immediately find a lot of energy and vigor here, yet it has a pure, lustrous core. The 2019 seems brighter and has a more red-fruited tone, it reminds me a bit of 2016 when young. Recommended by Valentino at Porta di Bacco in Montepulciano. Haunting and ethereal perfume yet with a very fine body and judicious use of oak to make the tannins very smooth. Almost wouldn’t notice it was there. One of the finest Barolos from La Morra I have yet to have. Felt like it was in a good place to drink yet would also love to see how it develops. Will be seeking out more.

With Sergio Roses,cherry and some wood spice on the nose. Midweighted with good clarity. Its said, with terrific palate presence with a sense clam and balance. Lovely inner mouth perfume. A long floral and spice driven finish. I tend actively dislike any wood I can notice in Barolo, but with was deftly done. I'm impressed.

Translucent red color, to dive in subito. Lighter in body and substance than the former vintages. Youthfully closed and screaming for some more time in bottle. It's full of sapidity, bright acids and fresh Nebbiolo fruit, with tart red berries, rose petal, cherry liqueur, tar, tobacco and light leather.
