The first release of GHW's Port-style wine and a very nice one indeed. A Douro style blend of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao aged 26 months in oak barrels. Deep Bordeaux red in color with some purple reflections at the rim with on the nose sweet cherries, roasted nuts, dates and melting chocolate. Full-bodied with on the palate sweet cherry liquor, licorice, caramelized almonds, prunes, dried cranberries, crème de cassis with a touch of vanilla and chocolate covered coffee beans …
