4.1/5, dark red with long legs. On the nose oak leather tertiary earthy notes with blueberry plum and vanilla. On the palate mushroom light plum with good acidity and low tannins. May be a little past peak but still enjoyable.

At least this one was drinkable! A fairly simple Pinot, color and nose typical Anderson V. certainly close to the end of life. Lack of pedigree here is the biggest problem. Drink now thru now.

I’m calling it flawed...but it could have just been sh-ty wine. I have one more to drink, chk back for an update.

Good Pinot Noir flavor, but a little harsh on the finish. Paired well with chicken in a tomato sauce.

Double decanted. Black cherry, spice, vanilla, cream, cedar on the nose. More of the same on the palate, fruits tends to portiness when backed by the alcoholic burn. Hmm. Again, after trying this from Coravin and then giving it some air this shows a lot better.

Pinot and Pate matching (KC's place) : From Coravin. Spice over muted, jammy, black plum, some polished oak. Tight tannins, the fruit is over ripe and there is a little bitterness.

Coravin fun - Ridge Monte Bello & others (Kennards, Waterloo) : From Coravin. Cream and vanilla dominate black cherry and slightly confected notes. Sweetly ripe with cherry and strawberry jam, sweet spice, touches of oaky dryness and a fair whack of alcohol heat. Bit roided for me.

Dark color and less than typical Pinot nose. In the mouth you don't think Pinot, the acid, although adequate is less than typical. The spicy flavors are more clove and allspice that are nice but again not typical. Ok tannin levels and finish. Decent wine that is a nice weight and out of the ordinary.

Clear, garnet. Grapefruit, blackberry, clove. No acids, low tannins. Plum. Medium short tannic finish. Partake by the glass

Decent red wine. Didn't really strike me as a pinot noir. It lacked that bright fruit, cola, acidic profile with some earthiness that I like in a good pinot. Not a bad wine, just not a characteristic pinot.

Six nations tasting (Pyrmont) : Meh, bit anonymous…nothing here for me.
