Miner Family Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard

Really light color, especially for SLH. Smoky fruit and tannin leather on the nose. The palate shows similar notes, along with a touch of nutmeg. Finishes a touch short. Might benefit from another year or two, but I’m not sure. This is unmistakably Garys’ Vineyard, which is home to some of my favorite California Pinots. I’ve rarely been disappointed, regardless of the producer.

Garys vineyard pinots are always my favorite wines to drink. This one surprised me by how lifht in color and weightbthe wine was. It was a great bottle and style was a nice deviation from what I normally drink.

Opened this far too early, but I’ve had nothing from the producer previously, and didn’t know if it’d be worth cellaring. Well, I should have know it’d be decent if given only the prestige of the vineyard. Sourced from the famous Pisoni/Franscioni vineyard — one of my favorites from SLH and consistently quality.
