Decanted Aromas show suave notes of cassis, chocolate covered cherries, blackberries, herbs, soft leather, mocha, dried florals, vanilla, oak and crème brûlée. The palate shows an elegant, well structured Merlot with smooth textures, ripe-firm tannins and above moderate acidity. Great weight and concentration across the palate. Nose of muted cherry and blackberry. Tastes of tart cherry and cocoa with medium+ tannins. Would not purchase again. Shared with Lisa at Laury's in Charleston WV.

Strong flavor - more like a cab than a merlot. Still, tasty and smooth. Enjoyed it very much and glad we have more in the cellar.

Very rough, but drinkable. I certainly hope it will smooth out with more age.

Dark fruit, complex but very smooth. Big.

This is tasty and as impressive as Merlot gets. The nose entices with currants, black cherries, and blueberries atop cedar, pastille, cinnamon, and cola. There’s richness, structure, and complexity on the palate, with ripe tannin, dense, middle sweetness, and a creamy, taffeta texture. Closes with length, spice, and broodiness on the tongue-staining finish.
