Not decanted, consumed over two evenings. Similar to my 10/27/2011 note, although a little firmer in the mid-palate, a touch higher in acid, and with a prominent note of black licorice on the nose which I didn't recognize in the previous bottle.

Not decanted, consumed over 1 1/2 hours. We weren't following this closely, but this was red-fruited and edging into some secondary earthiness, with smoothed-out tannins and just the slightest hint of heat. At first it had some elevated acids, but they blew off and this came into a fairly nice balance after an hour open. Lacking mid-palate concentration, but still good with homemade burgers. Has some life left. 87+

Norman wines are great because they are not expensive and they are consistently good, especially 2003 & 2004, which I've been drinking lately. The Conquest Cabernet is fantastic, especially for the price point. It's deep and inky in color and has a big bold and juicy taste. It has now aged sufficiently and is ready to drink now. It's very typical Paso. I love this wine because I can drink it everyday and not feel guilty.
