More zaftig than I thought when tasting at the winery this past October, but it goes in the direction of Meursault, not California, so I'm totally okay with that. I have one more bottle that I'll plan on drinking over the next year.

Winery pour. Very elegant and French in style with creamy lemon and apple notes and good length on the finish. Bought two.

Clear light gold. Very buttery, lemon and some oxidation. Tasty dry lemon and mineral flavours. Dry buttery finish. Drink up.

A wine I think I know very well as I still have bottles from 2011-2016 on hand. Not what I expected this evening. Rather short, like hitting a wall and some annoying bitterness. None of the beautiful minerality and sharp citrus-like acidity I’m used to. Hopefully a bad bottle. Still 3-4 more that will wait another 12-18mo.

Brilliant gold in the glass. Thick, a bit syrupy in appearance, with a strong nose of apple, vanilla, honey, toast and lemon. An extraordinary Chardonnay that is smooth and long on the finish. A pleasure to drink.
