Laurent Ponsot Walkaround Tasting. Short notes only. Initial reduction on nose that blows off with swirling. Concentrated spicy deep darker red fruit. Objectively is a polished, concentrated good wine. But agree with other tasters that this particular Chambolle Cuvee misses the mark of elegance. I had the exact same feel with the 2016 vintage of this.

similar experienced than the note from Creed9, there is a lot fruit, oak and more complex aroma, but it's quite unbalanced, missing tension and complexity

Lunch at Nicolas. Off the wine list. Drank in Plumm RedB glass. Drank over 2+ hours. Re-explored day 2 in Conterno Sensory - opened up a whole lot more. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of violets, peonies, deep ripe red cherries, stony minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of deep rich ripe red cherries, black cherry, …

Medium to light red; fine light raspberry notes; gentle light very tasty, lightness turns into profoundness/depth with a long lingering slightly sweet aftertaste; really well made and in a nice drinking spot

Slow oxed the bottle for about 2.5-3 hr. Sweet black cherry, crushed violets, pomegranate, rich black soil. Medium + acidity with a juicy swell to a fine and finessed tanins for a long finish - red cherry, black tea, strawberry, white pepper, ripe black fruit.
