Plum on the nose, red fruit early, some tobacco, bread (but nice bread, not like sh:tty white bread) Integrated a balanced.

The wine has evolved nicely. Good red fruit, some tartness & spice, a little disjointed, medium length flavors. This turned out to be a good purchase.

The nose is all cab all the time, followed by a mouthful of fruit and oak. This is the bottle to break out to show someone what a cab should be!

Cherry on the nose. Spicy on initial approach. Stays in the center of the tongue. Medium to low tannins.

medium Ruby. Medium plus aromas of compost, wet earth, tar, dried black fruits, smoke, acetone/nail polish remover, sweat. The aroma is of medium intensity. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, medium plus fine tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body. Flavors of dried and jammy blackberries, black currants, but more coffee, chocolate, toast. The wine is not well balanced and the finish is medium. QUality is good.

There is some of the Chilean mint there but not much at all. Darn, that is actually pretty good Chilean Cabernet. Raspberry fruit, more violets than any kinda green, mineral, long finish. Super works it out at $18 or so.

Moderate dark fruit, tannic and tart. Initial woody minerality with green pepper and perhaps hint of tarragon, but ending with a long peppery bitter finish. Would go well with a rich cheese, but I found too tannic to enjoy by itself.

Good value ($13 at Costco). Mild nose of smokey blackberry and cherry with touch of old world cellar. Hits palate with initial sour tannins but finishes surprisingly smooth with peppery floral fruit, strawberry. Medium body but has interesting complexity and chew for a relatively inexpensive cab.

2 years French oak. Medium nose shows white pepper, black plum, singed bark, green pepper. Palate gives nice power for value right off the bat, dark layers with fresh acidity, baking spice, a little brooding, licorice, wet leaves, blackberry, pink peppercorn, complexity is nice for the $$, medium plus finish and alcohol. Solid choice.

Black fruits, a bit of tobacco with green pepper and stemmy, herbaceous notes. Nose is muted and finish is grapey. Not bad for $14.

A balanced, fruity cab. Tannins aren't very pronounced. Soft mouthfeel without much oak. Ripe sweet cherries, bittersweet chocolate, finished like a Manhattan without the bite. Paired with a Cowboy Steak (bone in, double cut ribeye). A nice showing from Chile.

Never opened after 4 hours of air, remained tight, harsh, angular. Taking back to Costco!

Nose is a bit rough but shows some red Fruits. the front doesn't give Up much but has structure and the red fruit returns mid palate. Finish is somewhat harsh. Subtlety has totally escaped this wine and balance went with it. It's drinkable but just barely.
