Very nice value play. Fairly reserved nose but a generous palate. Steely minerality at first, then a nice citrus core, accented with softer and rounder tropical notes, with a nice long finish bordering on creamy. This may sound crazy, but I'd like to do a side by side of this Vermentino versus an Aubert Chard. This is obviously not as big and rich (and completely different grape), but there are shades of that style of bigger new world Chard in …

M+ body, well structured, with enticing floral aromas, this vermentino has nectarine, lemon, and almonds on the balanced palate. It finishes with flinty minerality and touch of salinity that makes a nice contrapuncta to the juiciness.

Great QPR here, with lemon curd, some chalk/minerals and perfect acidity.

Medium plus nose shows steel, clean florals, white pear, light straw. Palate shows expressive but light profile of dried peach, lime zest, wet rock, sour lemon adds tart feel. Nice combo of what you expect and having it's own style.

Really fresh wine with influence of lees ageing giving it extra complexity - notes of lemon, grapefruit, bread dough, biscuit, white peach and wet stone.

This was has been very consistent over the years. To me it is a slightly unbalanced and more tannin driven style than I prefer in a wine. Mouthfeel is sharp & crisp but to its credit fruit forward lemon, grapefruit, and apricot. More acidic into the finish.

Bottle 1290g. Screwcap. Aromas of moderate intensity, light candied lemon, white flower. Dry, with moderate fresh acidity, medium-bodied, light relative to 14% abv. Saline on the palate, and lemon pith bitterness through the finish. Going up against a fatty but delicate arctic char.

4th Saturday Group: non-French European Wines (J&L's) : Blind, but in the flight I was fairly confident that this was our vermentino as it's my go-to BTG white if I am having wine at the club after golf. Pale color with abundant lemony citrus tones. Crisp acidity with citrus fruit. Think sauv blanc without the grassy notes. Lovely.

Lemon, chalk, white peach, grassy notes. Medium bodied with mild acidity. Flavors of lemon pitt, sea salt and under ripe white peach with a hint of salinity on the finish.
