nice color and body for a pinot. after the nice apperance and mouthfeel, I was disappointed in the palate. A decent pinot. I like tartness and good acids in my pinots. This one was a bit short on acid for my preference,

This didn't really bang at all. Very disappointing.

A little dark in colour - slightly worrying sign! Fruit verges on the dark side, although there is nice freshness there. Rather straightforward and a little jammy, but well put-together with at least some semblance of pinot noir. 88-89

Lovely aromas of berries and a hint of forrest floor. Great soft texture, smooth and silky, lovely pure fruit with red cherries and hedgerow berries, and a good finish. One for drinking, not keeping, which is exactly what the winemaker intends.

No, I don't think so! Definitely not how you make good Centeal Otago Pinot - the most promising Pinot region outside of Burgundy. This smells more like an acidified Gamay, that is all I am going to say to this misguided effort. If you don't have the grape quality for it, don't try to make a concentrated wine. It never works. The winemakers here should pay a visit to Felton Road to see how it's done...

Today tasted along with 5 other NZ Pinot's and value for money this one shone out like a beacon. There is some medium density to the colour and a vibrancy of cherry and strawberry to sniff. Its still a light-bodied wine but with a good amount of flavour of stewed ripe plum, rhubarb, ripe red cherry and supported nicely with some vanilla oak and a little malolactic fermentation creaminess. It dances across the palate and finishes clean due to balancing …

Bright Crimson colour. Savory on the nose. Again savory on the palate, not the cherry style more mushroom and forest floor. Smooth delicate and dry. Tonight with duck.

Light crimson red in colour. Light pinot nose with a forrest floor or savory character rather than cherry. Again savory style on the palate with long dry tannin. Interesting with a couple of years age but better with food.

Pinot-palooza (Carriageworks, Redfern) : Toasted red berry and sweet spice on the nose. In the mouth toasted red berry fruit is swamped by plentiful tannic grip. Simple and needs a couple of years to just calm down.

scent of strawbery, cinamon, it taste of mineral, choco, coffee. I was expecting a lot out of this wine and a little disappointed. it's not a bad wine nonetheless, but i had better wines that is a dollop cheaper.

I found it a bit spritzy at first but this went away with time in the glass. Solid wine but nothing remarkable...

Central Otago. Classic regional style but quite light in terms of fruit depth. Nice tangy finish but overall lacks intensity. Not in the league of previous vintages.
