Husch Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

Getting a bit over the hill, but not bad.

A Chardonnay lover's Sauvignon Blanc. Something a little different for the palate. Strong and independent.

A light dry Sauvignon Blanc with honey and fruit flavors and mild acidity.

Dinner at taka in asbury park Not as crisp as might expect from a suvignon but great easy drinking flavor

Nice, good value, standard-issue SB. Crisp, acid, etc. Not as interesting as the Renegade but a great value.

Wonder aromas and tastes of apricot. Sharp and crisp, too

Great creamy mouthfeel. Has the tropical fruit and melon flavors you would expect from a SB but much richer. Slightly oaked but not overwhelming. Really nice example of a less crisp sauvignon blanc style. I would imagine it might even age well.

Since I love the Husch Gewurztraminer, I really wanted to like this wine. It is technically very well done, in that it takes a lot of skill to realize this much of the Sauv Blanc acidity without getting any of the intense flavors/smells. I'm just not really sure why. Something like a Nobilo, in the same price range, will give you a lot more.
