Very smooth, but past its prime. Not much in fruit flavours left. No reason to cellar any longer.

Wow this wine is still so young. Starting to show secondary flavours, but still lots of fruit. Near its peak but still lots of life

Very rich powerful fruit, youthful with noticeable acidity. Length good but still needs time to rest.

Full falvour, well balanced. Not to over powering, enjoyed on its own.

After a 3 hour decant, really smooth and delicious. Drinking super well now. I didn't find this tannic at all.

Agree w PSKC tn - wine needs a good decant. Almost old world at this time. Dusty Cherry Liqueur with dried herbs on the nose. A bit sharp still in tannic bite.

cork in good condition. decant for 2h. very nice nose - not much oak left, some sweet vanilla and cassis. nice entry and enjoyable mouth feel. still some tannin left to support the structure. medium plus length. definitely at its prime and should drink nicely over the next 3 years.

Deep purply red still, nose is nice, not overtly fruity, but not as herbal as earlier bottles- palate has good weight, and plenty of fruit - it is more Bordeaux than New World, winey, with some complexity- there is cassis on the nose, good acidity, red plum fruit on palate, tannins are there a bit, but just nicely add a framework - I think this bottling is just starting to hit its stride, too bad this was my last bottle! …

Didn't have much expectation being a "cool" vintage. But wine is open for business with a 30 mins decant, consumed over next 2 hours (with each hour even better). Wine probably hasn't peak, but great to drink now. I like this new"er" world right bank style yet there's some old world feel to it. Love it

Wow, I don't know if it's because wines were not great during my trip to Indonesia, but this 2011 is definitely the best and most exciting Portfolio I had from this "cold" vintage. Blind, and strictly based on the nose, I would have called a Pomerol. Exuberant aromas of truffle, berries and a touch of leather on the nose. On the palate, the bright acidity makes you salivate. A bit more new world Merlot and slightly less polish on the …

Fabulous right-bank (Pomerol) nose. This is definitely at its peak and will remain there for a few more years for sure. Unfortunately (it would have scored much higher), this Portfolio is a bit unbalanced with it's new oak tannins and aromas...it a little too much for my taste.

This wine has improved since my first tasting note in 2014.

High quality wine but very closed at the moment. Black fruit/olives in the mouth with a very good tannic structure. Balanced. You can wait another 5 years.

Agree with previous observation that this particular vintage did not live up to others, such as the 2009. Seemed to lack fruit and balance. Must be a function of the difficult conditions of 2011 in BC.

Both the 2010 and 2012 are excellent but the 2011 just isn't up to the usual Portfolio standard. Maybe the years will bring out the best in this vintage.

Still young, but good potential. Mouth puckering tannins, good fruit, lingering finish. Always good!
