The extraction is visually striking—the wine is dense and inky , but no brown hints whatsoever Nose : After two hours in the decanter, the nose reveals beautiful tertiary notes: leather, saddle, earth, and forest floor, followed by dried Agen prune, liquorice, and lavender. This really in the time to open up, but then really came through! First there was a lot of horse stable but that blew off. Fruit and tannin structure are beautiful. The fruit ist quiet dark. We had it over several hours and grew stronger every minute. The 2010 can go on for several years. Beautiful

Decanted 3 hours - soft, almost felt like a crianza. Decent rioja, but did not carry the acidity or structure which I would have expected. I don't consider this a good aging wine, and not a great QPR.

A wine in the perfect drinking window. Great balance between primary and tertiary aromas. Medium garnet with medium aromas/flavors of fresh and dried cherries, leather, earthy, red plums, cream, fresh and dried herbs. Developing. On the palate the wine is dry with medium acidity and tannins, high alcohol and medium body. The intensity is medium + and the finish is long. The quality is very good and can drink now potential for aging.

At dinner at Hawksmoor in Liverpool. Remelluri went well with my beef filet steak with onions and bone marrow. Almost opaque, this wine has a dark brooding nose that is rounding nicely into form. Loads of blue and black fruit, very attractive. Relatively soft and mellow but also full and rich, a great combination. Might be the best Remelluri I have ever tasted. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.

Deep ruby. High intensity nose with aromas of cherries blackberries, cedar, tobacco, violets, licorice, dried meat, and baking spices. Palate echoing the nose, but savoury notes more dominant. Med +acid, med + body, med + tannins, which are quite gritty and drying, but fruit and acid balances it out again in the finish which is quite long and complex.

Reviewed my first bottle of this wine back in June 2021. Wasn’t particularly impressed, but didn’t score it as I suspected bottle was off. Turned out to be true as this bottle showed way better. Fuska inte med luftningen! Drack när den luftat ca 30 minuter, då smakade den mest surt och aningen tanniner. Efter 2,5h i karaffen blommade den ut, mycket viol och lakrits. Sedan lite skinnsoffa och antydningar till mörka bär. Ska bli kul att testa igen med ca 2h luftning.
