Borell Diehl Gewürztraminer Kabinett

Pale yellow with green reflections. Elegant nose of lychee, mint and fennel - rather shy for Gewurtztraminer. Surprisingly sweet (definitely Spatlese rather than Kabinett), with balanced acidity. While the wine is pleasant enough, it lacks the depth of fruit needed to pull off this level of sweetness, leaving the whole thing a bit flat.
