Pear drop, almond, oak. Full bodied and thick in the mouth. Excellent bitter nuttiness and perhaps some leesy creaminess. Has developed a bit in the last couple of years. The alcohol is still quite prominent. Long cool finish.

Grilled pineapple, stewed apple, pear drops, almond. Not a huge smell. Rich in the mouth, honey, rose water, marzipan. Creamy in the mouth, a good whack of oak. Powerful and alcoholic. Excellent food wine, will last a good deal longer yet.

Rich pear, elderflower, melon, almond. Ripe rounded mouthfeel, slightly greasy in the mouth and spirity alcohol. A big powerful wine, long and fat. Still decent acid and some salty minerals on the finish. Could do with a few years aging. Very good.

Südtirol 2018; 9/28/2018-9/30/2018 (Südtirol) : Tasted on site at St. Michael Eppan. Smokey spicy nose. Some lighter peach and pear and oak smells. Herbal and long in the mouth, weighty and ripe without being heavy. Needs more time to soften but very good.

Südtirol 2018; 9/28/2018-9/30/2018 (Südtirol) : Ripe peach and pear. Quite a savoury nose. Full bodied rich and viscous in the mouth, medium acid, a touch of oaky softness. Finish of white fruit. Excellent.
