Appearance: clear deep garnet Nose: blackberry, bramble, maybe fig. Strawberry. Green peppercorn, salami. Some French oak: vanilla, cloves. Violets? Palate: strawberry. Black plum, blackberry. Green peppercorn. Cloves, French oak. Violets? Dry. Medium acidity, berry-like; medium(-) tannins, smooth, well-integrated, slightly drying. Medium bodied. Medium(+) flavour intensity. Medium(+) body; medium(-) alcohol. Medium(+) finish. Very good, can drink now but has potential for ageing. Elegant, lithe. 13,5% alcohol. Seal: natural cork.

Tasted at Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK. Dark cherry colour. Big nose and very typical of northern Rhone. Spicy, earthy, blackberries on the palate. Big and dusty, more spice, orangey and smooth. Very good.
