Showing surprisingly well. Full bodied, tropical fruits on the nose, a little heat on the finish. Oaky flavors of vanilla, honey, ripe stone fruit and pineapple. Very easy to like.

Much better than the last bottle, the wine looks youthful (surprisingly) straw in color, nose of reductive fruit and vegetables blew of into a honey laden mix of ripe stone fruit and orange blossom. The wine is full bodied, with the fruit acid fading and the sugar starting to show a bit more. Flavors of honeysuckle, white peaches, and vanilla are all in balance. A really well made white, but I'd imagine it all comes down to bottle variance at …

Took the wine a bit of time to open. I also thought that the wine benefited being a bit cooler than normal serving temperature, it seemed to keep the wine a bit more "tight" and in focus. Notes of honey, dried apricots, and lemon on the nose. Smelled great, a bit oxidized as expected. But for a 9 year old white, I'd say it's trucking along nicely... In the mouth, the wine has a syrupy feel, very unctuous. Notes of …

Probably held this one too long, fruit was diminished but it still was enjoyed.

A very decent white wine that was the starter of a 3 bottle night at Nick and Sam's in Uptown Dallas. This is a combo of 43% Marsanne, 37% Viognier and 20% Chardonnay. Full bodied pour with glycerine type characteristics as it coated the glass on pour. The nose was very heavy on honeysuckle. There was a sharp old world "dusty" mineral note as well with deep inspiration. On the entry is a rather full bodied white wine that had …

I've always liked the Bride. On the nose, it packs a bit of heat and big floral honeysuckle notes. Rich and luxurious on the palate with flavors of peach, honeydew, and delicate citrus notes. The acidity is beautifully balanced and the wine is simply mouth-watering concluding with a lingering and desirable finish. For my part, it's one of the more inviting of the California whites out there.

Very good, but disappointing. I enjoyed the restrained complexity (a difficult balance to achieve), but as a whole I did not think the wine worked. It started well with delicate aromas (lemon, honey, and some fruit - peach?), and continued with similar tastes in the mouth, but then there was a void, as if the wine wasn't sure where it was going, and I was left with a thick viscous, undecided finish.

Very complexed at first. Drinking without food made it difficult to discover. Closed on the nose. Peach front on the nose but some grass roots on the mid palate. complex and strong in alcohol mid palate....more vegetables on the mid palate..Nice green papers and green tomato. Great balance...oak, alcohol, and slight fruit at the end...extremely well made recommended with eh food....blackened salmon or tuna. Will buying again.

Deep golden yellow in color. Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, honey suckle and hints of lanolin. Nice, round mouthfeel. Acidity is present but takes a backseat. Lingering finish with a hint of almonds on the back palate.

Maybe it is just us, but this tasted like someone blended turpentine with peaches and honeydew melons.

Nice complexity on this. It almost seems to take you on a ride through the the component varietals. The Chardonnay shows in a soft creaminess up front. The middle has the sort of green, funky, thing from the Marsanne. The back end is dominated by the more acidic, floral notes from the Viognier. This makes it seem a bit disjointed at first, but it comes together and was maybe even a bit better on the second day.

In Vino Unitas: California Producers Direct Market (St. Francis Yacht Club, San Francisco, California) : Light yellow color; apple, oak, green apple nose; soft, green apple palate with low acidity; medium finish (43% Marsanne, 37% Viognier, 20% Chardonnay)

Fabulous as tested, around 45 deg F and open 16 hrs (gassed overnight). Excellent almost stunning effort with rhone varietals; airy yet firm, balanced, flavorful, well-integrated. Elegant firm round nose of stinky sock (lanolin is better, see below), soft flowery herbs, gentle cooling fruit (lemon-lime cream, golden tart apples), dusty talc with cream spice. In the mouth a similar mix of tastes in nice balance with a lingering finish of mid-palate elements. Dryish. Body medium minus, acid medium. I had …

Big rhone style while with predominant Marsanne, also some viognier and chardonnay, unique blend. Lovely flavors, apples and pears, with a bit of an oily mouth feel typical of the Marsanne. Long finish, not overoaked....paired with grilled swordfish

Biiiig wine. Very vicous, oily mouthfeel. Loaded with pear, apple, lemon custard, and sprinkle a little olive oil on top. The 15.2 alc was just a wee bit too over the top or else this would've scored higher. Would be interested to try it in vintages where the alc is <15%

I know people go crazy for viognier/marsanne blends, and this is a personal taste issue, but I don't see it. The Marsanne muddies the viognier and the viognier masks the complexity of the marsanne. Parker liked it. It was a well made wine. They clearyly meant to do this, but no thanks.

Outstanding bottle of wine. The complexity was very impressive as was the finish. Creaminess without oak, some bananna and straw flavors. All very well balanced and the acidity was pitch perfect both with and withour food. I am just disappointed that I only bought one. Off to find a few more bottles!

This is a red winer drinker's white. Had with some stunning sushi, including toro, salmon eggs with uni, and assorted other fish-based dishes. Great crispness, but has some warmth to it - had to explain. Tropical fruit overtones but very rich, buttery, and complex. Very aggressive for a white. Possibly the perfect combo for fatty sushi. Expensive, but definitely worth it.

A huge white blend of Viognier, Chardonnay, and Marsanne. Blends with CA Chardonnay are usually so dominated by the CA Chardonnay that it was useless to use other varietals. Although the Chard. certainly takes a front seat in this wine, the Viognier manages to express itself very nicely with a considerable floral presence. Packaging is top notch. The wine is outstanding. Pricely but worth it. 14% alco (D6.6, F 7; DaV)
