Domaine des Chenevières Chablis 1er Cru L'Homme Mort

Has softened a bit in the last year, very nice - the mineral/stone component seems to be reduced but the citrus and floral notes are still there. Love this.

Very pale gold color with thin legs in the glass. At first the aromas are very reticent but as the wine warms they really explode. This has an intense mineral driven nose with notes of crushed stone, chalk, citrus, melon, and sweet flowers (orange blossom?). Very steely and bracing on the palate with subtly complex fruit of sweet honeysuckle, slate, and honeydew, yet the wine comes across as wonderfully balanced and supple on the long apple/stone marriage of a finish. …

crisp but with a richness of fruit and perfect balance. steely and mineraly but not too demanding from the palate.
