Weingut Heinz Pfeiffer Kirchheimer Schwarzerde Ortega Trockenbeerenauslese

Deep amber colour; incredibly rich nose, deep and sweet, concentrated honey, a warehouse full of (dried) fruit (currants, raisins, lychees), very aromatic; the palate is enormously rich and luxurious, but with sufficient juicy acidity for balance, gobs of tropical fruit and amazing botrytis; fabulous length. Maybe not the epitome of complexity or finesse, but in the presence of such enormous power I do not ask further questions.
