Day 1: A gentle, amiable Barolo. Strawberries and sandalwood on a fairly tight nose. Oak tannins show at first, but as it opens the ripe red fruit takes center stage, along with a hint of camphor. Medium acidity, good weight on the mid-palate, easy transition into a pleasant finish. Mid-weight and elegant, fine tannins that are well-integrated. Day 2: Stored overnight with a Repour. More lifted on the nose, with evident mint and menthol notes. Still really enjoyable with firm …

So hard to capably describe this delicious Barolo. Super double extra clear. So delicate it is less than medium bodied. Moderate but noticeable, appropriate tannins. Elegant plum and mushroom. Still acidic young raspberry and stewed strawberry. So persistent continuing wet earth meets red fruit. Even some rhubarb meets pomegranate. Changes ever sip.

Decanted, throwing plenty of sediment. Dark purple black color. Forest floor, a touch of basalmic and black cherry fruit scents. Good fruit and density. Fine silky tannins, long, juicy fruit filled finish with a touch of forest floor in the background.

A very nice, mature barolo. Tar, earth, leather and a core of black cherry. Nice body and presence.

Third time's the charm. Last of three bottles and felt this finally lived up to its promise. Color still surprisingly on the darker red side. Nice full nose of aged fruit and leather. Rich, moderately complex palate of red fruit, spice and leather, decent balance and still fresh. Medium finish extended to long by still-heavy tannins that stay in the mouth. Fresh enough that it could go a few more years, but I don't think it will improve further.

장미향이 지배적이고 생각보다 탄닌이 강하지 않아 마시기 편했음 장기숙성 생각했으나 병 브리딩 1시간 해도 충분하다고 생각함

Excellent wine. Strawberry and spice. A little tannins, will wait a few years to drink the second bottle.

Day 1: Comes across as modern/cosmopolitan, red fruit driven with French oak accents on opening. But this won me over as the Nebbiolo character emerged--tar, sandalwood, camphor. Moreover, the palate is supple and elegant, with superb roundness on the mid-palate and fine tannins. Accessible, medium bodied with excellent delicious factor, though the structure is not at all feeble. So while this is not a traditionalist take on Barolo, the quality, vintage and varietal character are evident. Should age on balance, …

Really nice, youthful Barolo that is approachable now but has some ways still to go. Picked this up at Costco - great value. Nice nose, smooth up front, long finish, and plenty of structure. Will get more of this for sure.

Man has this wine changed. I'm still not convinced of its $60 price tag, but whereas I thought this was absolutely unredeemable and backwards the last time I tried it, over some days, this time around it's a seducer. Unmistakably Barolo, there's also rooty cola notes, minty herbal notes, and a stewiness that is more earthy-rooty than, say, overbaked cherries.

Really nice drinking window for this bottle right now. Enjoyed with Cooper's BBQ in Llano, TX. Bold but not over the top. Modern but not to the point of being hot or over-extracted. Fine fruit intensity, mostly on the fresh side. Not a lot of dried characteristics. Sensual easy drinking Barolo. The tannins approach not on the front but on the back side. You could say this is a bit backward but still a great wine. Can drink up to …

Classic red fruits, dried purple flowers, but too round for my liking. Tannins and acids fully resolved, down to medium/medium plus on both. Time to drink up.

Clear mid garnet color. Clean nose of med intensity, red currants with wet earth, olives, leather, thyme and tomatoes notes. Developing. The palate is dry, medium body, intensity, medium+ alcohol (14%) and acidity, tannins medium, round to almost dissolved, lacking structure, flavors copying the nose with red currants, olives, tomatoes and sour cherry, ends with med-/med finish. A good wines, drink now as I can't see this getting any better.

Will never be huge, but will certainly grow over time, in 5 or 6 years from now, into a pleasing medium-strong barolo. 50/5/12/16/8

Medium red color. Still looks young. Lots of red cherry on the nose. Some tobacco notes. Leather? Light mouthfeel. Chalky tannins still very strong. Needs more time. Cherry all the way through. Just hints of where it is going. A little orange on the nose.
