Notes of petrol on the nose, ripe yellow stone fruit, herbs, minerality. On the palate generous and elegant. Very vibrant, nice mineral backbone, fine length. Drink or keep. 91-93

An impressive wine, but not a particularly charming one. Lots of ripe grapefruit, peach, and tarter citrus notes framed by some oaky elements that integrate with more air, and a chalky mineral character beneath. Powerful on the palate and full bodied, though with enough acidity to give it lift. It's a big wine that's well balanced and complex, but it doesn't have the sense of finesse and refreshment I look for in Riesling.

The GG category is not normally my sweet spot for German Riesling as I find the wines trying too hard to be cool. This one though hit the spot. Robust palate dominated by intense rocky minerality, lots of sour lemons and green herbs. Great with the fatty scallops we served with it. Drinking well today. Very Chablis like.
