Quite frankly, my hopes were very low with this one. Almost the kind of wine you forgot you had in your cellar and felt you had to drink it when you saw it. Well, this one delivers for what it is. Don’t get me wrong, this is no show stopper or the kind of wine you call yiur friends about but still, it has a nice meaty, oaky, fruity combination of flavors that keeps you coming for more. Well done …

Improved with a few years in the bottle.

Certainly has oak on the nose and as a predominant flavor. I agree with the writer who stated that there was some fruit hiding in the background. Still very smooth and quite elegant.

After popping the cork, the wine seemed very closed off. Two hours later it had not improved much. The most dominant aroma/flavor is oak, and there is a little fruit hiding in the background. It's possible the wine is in a dumb phase. I'd be interested to revisit this wine in a few years, I think the potential to improve is there.

There is a lot of oak on this, but there is sufficient fruit. Flavors of blueberries, licorice, and anise predominate. This improved after being open for about 2 hours. There is a heavy sediment, so use a filter.

After 30 minutes decanting the 2010 still smelled of high alcohol content and remained relatively dry. Needs a good 90-120 minutes to open in a decanter or all you get is blackberry and dark cherry aromas. After opening a bit, the tannin relaxes and reveals a medium bodied Pomerol, semi-dry with some chocolate and strawberry notes. Much smoother and more enjoyable as it opened but basically an inexpensive way to visit Pomerol. Liken it to seeing Phantom of the Opera …

A nice offering from Pomerol. Maroon in color. Nose of leather and dark fruit. A very classy, smooth wine.

A good value from Pomerol. Dark purple in color. Improved after 1 hour decant. Nice nose of plum, black cherry, truffle, and chocolate. Medium-bodied. Medium finish. Tannins need time to soften. This wine needs a few years to come together.

Open a couple of hours before drinking and remember to filter. Great potential - i expect it to be better over the coming years.
