Solid bottle, good value, went well with steak

An impressive effort that tastes great in its youth with an hour of air. On first pour, the alcohol is a bit dominant, but more air reveals ripe dark fruits, lavendar and sweet spices emerge from underneath. The palate packs a sufficient dark fruit punch in balance with the sweeter spices from the oak that integrates into a lengthy finish. Minerality on the palate keeps it from being too overbearing.
