Kenzo Estate Cabernet Franc Asuka

This wine is really singing right now. Decanted for approximately 1 hour. The nose in the glass is intense and really enjoyable with the signature aroma of cabernet franc: green bell pepper. On the palette, the tannins are medium+ but nicely integrated at this point. While some interesting flavors will certainly develop with additional time in the cellar, I would not hesitate to open my 1 remaining bottle.

Nose is great on this wine. Smoked green pepper, vanilla bean, and coffee on the nose. Nose outperforms the taste, but nice creaminess on the flavor. Love the nose I am soso on the flavor. The wine seems a little hollow on the palette, but having said this still a fan just on the nose.

A little lighter on its feet than expected-- medium bodied, finessed. Sage, blackberries and graphite, hint of smoked meats. No hard edges, nice after a 2 hour decant.

2015 Napa Trip - Day 1 (Napa, CA) : Just sooooo tight. Had literally just been bottled. It is a power puncher, just a bit overwhelming on our visit.
